Jen from The Autism Helper shows how to turn plastic Easter eggs into a learning activity. Hide eggs with colors, shapes, letters, or sight words inside, have kids find them and identify what's there. It works for any learning target and keeps remote learners active.

Hey guys, it's Jen from The Autism Helper. I wanted to share a quick activity that you can share with your parents to work on just about any skill. Doesn't really matter what it is. I want you to think flexibly about what you've got and what you can create at home and share with your parents during this time of e-learning and remote learning. So here I've just got a basket of Easter eggs, right? A bag of them. Doesn't matter, they don't have to be filled yet. And then I've got the skills that I want my kids to work on. This works for anything. It can be colors, shapes, It could be animals, objects, numbers, sight words, letters. Then I want you to take those numbers, those letters, whatever it is the student's working on, hide them in the Easter eggs. Have the parents hide them, then have the kid go on an Easter egg hunt. Find those eggs, pop them open, find the letter, the number, the color inside, and receptively identify it or expressively identify it. It doesn't matter, it can be adapted to just about anything. But the point is we're getting those kids out and learning and they're having fun at the same time. Easy for parents to implement, easy for you to share. Hopefully you guys get some great ideas out of this. I'm gonna share these as a download to where you can adapt them to whatever you want in the link below. Have a great day, guys.
