Browserbase - A web browser for your AI

All right, what's up everybody? Hi, my name is Paul. I am the founder of Browser Base. We help AI browse the web and I have two slides and five minutes and a demo, so we'll do that. So I want to talk to you about Browser Base. So you might know us for some of our products, but I'm going to tell you about the things that make no money and the things that make money in the no money order. So this first thing we have is called Director Director AI. It is a application that lets you type in a prompt and it will go control a browser running in the cloud to automate tasks for you. That's kind of cool. OpenAI had some similar ideas anyways, but you know, the, the thing we use it for is actually to show people about like you can automate the web with AI. It's very powerful. The future of software is software doing work on your behalf. A lot of us do work in a browser. So we built Director to really show you like, hey, you can automate work in a browser and you can build things like Director using our framework Stagehand. So Stagehand is an open source MIT license framework. If you're familiar with Puppeteer, Playwright or Selenium, those all suck. Sagents is much better. It's designed actually for like automation and web scraping and it's not designed for testing. It's AI first and we describe it as a natural language code interface for the browser. Once again, Open Source makes some money. But you know, if you're using a Director and you want to automate task, or you're building something with Stagehand and you want to control browsers, well, boy do I have the place for you to get browsers. It is none other than Browser Base and conveniently named Base at the bottom of the stack. I should update that copy. So what Browser Base is, is we are like browsers as a service and if you know anything about browsers, they are very resource intensive. This Figma slides is probably using 2000% of my CPU right now. Imagine running a browser you run on your MacBook in a cloud. Very inefficient, right? So you know, if you need to run browsers that scale in a cloud, you would want to use Browser Base as the infrastructure provider. And that's been working pretty well for us, I'll tell you why. So so far we are about a year in some change old 10 months. We've raised our Series B Outset Capital. One of our investors. We also use Sculptor, big fan of Sculptor at Browserbase, a bunch of great investors over there. Some cool people. They all tell me you're doing great. Keep going. And I'm very thankful to have them on our cap table. We've been named to some cool lists like the Forbes next Billion dollar startup list. So was what was the medical startup or the one went to jail for? They were on that list too, unfortunately. So the hits and misses on the list, I think we're gonna be doing okay. We are five days a week in office. We are upstairs in the attic. It's very welcoming and we are hiring across all functions. Engineering, account executives, marketing, developer relations, customer engineering. So really just come say hi. Like, if you want to help, you know, really build this infrastructure layer to help AI automate the web. It is working. We have thousands of customers. Companies like Perplexity, Clay, Vercel and some other cool ones I can't name up here. But enough of this bs. Let's talk about demo. Okay, so we just launched this thing today on Product Hunt. It's called Director. It's that once again, the application layer for Automate AI. So let's give it a prompt. Please retrieve the top Product Hunt launch today with your flow is so hard sometimes. So I've given it a prompt and what it's going to do is going to spin up a browser using Browser Base and then it's going to control that browser using Stagehand, our framework. And you can kind of view this as like an agent builder. The cool part about Director is that like as it's doing its thing, it's not just controlling a browser, but it's writing code. So it's going to go navigate to the Product Hunt page. I'm pretty sure it's going to get a captcha. But that's okay. We solve Captcha as part of our managed browser service and it's going to do its thing. There we go. We can actually watch it live in this thing called the replay. There's that beautiful captcha shout out. Cloudflare. We actually partnered with Cloudflare recently and we believe that the future of agents browsing online requires some sort of agent identity. And there's this thing called Web Bot auth that we're partnering with Cloudflare on to enable your agents to browse online as a delegation of you, a delegate of you. So it's going to keep doing its thing, wait for the capture to get solved. Sometimes it takes some time. Let's go back to activity. And you can kind of see it's like thinking through this thing. Looks like the page loaded. But the replay is taking a second. It's extracting some of the product details down here. And if the models are working nicely today, you should see that. So that's the browser running on browser base being controlled by stagehand and all the code is being written by director. And if you want to see the code, we could go click on it right in. If I knew how to use my own product, I would show you where the code is. Artifacts, code. This is all the code that I wrote. So you could actually deploy this to browser base and run this every day and get the number one product hunt post using stagehandler framework and running on browser based infrastructure.
