Billie and Frank talk about birthdays, a school piano performance where Frank filled in and won a special award, and riddles from their granddad. A casual family conversation.
What is special about today?
It's Mum's birthday.
Anyone else?
Uh, no.
Yes, it is. It's your cousin Madeleine's birthday today.
All right, what happened?
What happened at school recently?
Uh, we had a big show and, um, yeah, we did. We had a big piano show. And I stepped in at the last minute to do a performance because one of my friends was sick.
And what happened?
During lunch, the show was right after lunch, and the head of the junior school said that anyone could step in and I'll give a special award to them who can.
And did you get a special award?
Yes, I did.
What piece did you play?
Uh, Doctor Wombat Moves. Detective.
Okay, all right, who's over here? Right, what have you got to tell us?
It was a very special day today because first of all it was my mother's birthday, but also our granddad came over and gave us some tricky riddles.
Which was the best riddle?
The best riddle was the one about the Pharaoh or the potato one.
Okay, thank you very much.
