Paul Sloane teaches eight thinking styles—critical, lateral, parallel, visual, mathematical, combinatorial, pondering, and emotional intelligence—to help you solve problems and generate ideas more effectively. Most people use only one or two, which limits what they can do. The course covers brainstorming, decision-making, memory techniques, and how to overcome procrastination.

Would you like to become known as someone who is smart? Someone who is clever? Even someone who is brilliant? I am convinced that no matter how good a thinker you are today, you could become a much better thinker. How can this be? Well, quite simply, most of us only use one or two thinking styles every day. And we'd be much more effective, much more successful if we could deploy more thinking styles. So for example, you might be very good at critical thinking but not use lateral thinking. You might be very good at logic but not deploy emotional intelligence. Well, in this course we cover a battery of thinking methods, and if you can learn these, I'm convinced you can become much more successful at work and much more interesting In your social life. My name is Paul Sloane, and I'm the lecturer on this course. I am an author and speaker. I gained a master's degree in engineering from Cambridge University. I worked in sales and marketing and as a managing director and CEO in various software companies. I've written a book called How to Be a Brilliant Thinker, and this course is based on that book, and it's a good companion to the course, but the course is much more comprehensive and up to date. I've helped corporate clients all around the world including Nike, Airbus, Microsoft, Unilever, and I've helped them develop better thinking styles, and I can do the same for you. Here are some of the thinking styles which are covered in the course: critical thinking, lateral thinking, parallel thinking, the power of visualization, using mathematics, using combinations, the power of pondering, developing emotional intelligence. And here's some of the methods and actions which we cover in the course: problem analysis, brainstorming, evaluating ideas, how to overcome procrastination and turn ideas into action, memory techniques, making decisions, public speaking, and games that boost the brain. So, and there's more covered in the course as well as this. The course is aimed at anyone who wants to become much more effective in their ability to analyze problems, think differently, and come up with great ideas and creative solutions. I think you will enjoy the course and find it very stimulating. I would encourage you to enroll today.
