So, what does this recession mean for you? What's it gonna mean for salespeople? Well, I think if we're gonna face very tough times, the need for professional salespeople will increase. Companies may need fewer salespeople, but they'll need better salespeople, and they'll need them desperately. So it's very important that you improve your skills. It's very important that you develop. So who here thinks they know everything there is to know about selling? I do. Who thinks they can learn? Who thinks they're the best salesperson they can possibly be? Who thinks they can be a much better salesperson? Good. I'm going to give you, as well as introducing the fantastic lineup of speakers we've got today, and it really is the most outstanding lineup we've ever had, I think. I'm going to give you one or two short sales tips of my own. And the first one is this: set yourself an objective every day. Every day, give yourself an objective, something you're going to accomplish that day. So who's set themselves an objective for today? Well, what I suggest you do is you think of one now. And what it might be— to learn 3 things that you're going to implement, 3 things you're going to do differently as a result of today. And maybe you're going to meet a couple of really useful people today that you don't already know. So let's start that process off. What I want you to do I want you to turn to somebody you don't know, and I want you to introduce yourself to them, give them your business card, and say, hello, my name is Paul, and I'm here to learn. I want you to say that, I'm here to learn. And they're going to introduce themselves, and they're going to say, I'm here to learn. And then you'll have the right attitude. You're here to learn, you're here to develop new skills, you're here to make contacts. Do you want to just do that for a moment? Turn to somebody you don't know, please, and introduce yourself. Hi, I'm Paul Sloane.
