Here is a quick tip if you're a job seeker, if you're looking to get a new employment, and I think it will really help you. Start by writing down the job title of the person who's likely to recruit you. What is their job title? Sales Director, Head of Sales, Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Head of Customer Services, Marketing Director. What is the job title? And then write down what problem can you solve for him or her? What is the headache that they've got that you can overcome? And here's the key to the tip. I want you to stop thinking of yourself as a job seeker and start thinking of yourself as a problem solver. Your task is to solve problems. The reason that person is going to hire you is because they've got a problem and they are convinced that you can overcome that problem. And once you start thinking in terms of the problems that you can solve, you have to convey that In your CV, in your LinkedIn statement, and in your teammate tell me about yourself. So your list of key skills should encapsulate the problems that you solve. Your achievements should demonstrate that you can solve that sort of problem. And when you eventually connect with those people on LinkedIn or elsewhere, you can start by saying, this is the sort of problem I can solve for you. Do you have this sort of problem? And it's a good place to start the conversation. So there's the tip. Stop thinking of yourself as a job seeker. Start thinking of yourself as a problem solver.
