I think the number one question that business owners have is, where can I find my integrator? Everyone wants an amazing number two. And you said like, hey, I love being a number two. That's such a rare thing to hear. So for people who are asking that question, how would you respond to that?
There is a really good Harvard Business Review article on the COO role. It basically says there's no one kind of integrator or COO. It is, it depends on what the CEO needs. I think my question is, what's your intent? Do you intend to be less involved in every single decision day to day? Do you want to empower your team? If you want somebody who can lead the leadership team, then they need to have had several reps and results. That's it. And the results tell the story. That's it.
