Peter Lohmann and a Rentvine representative discuss whether property managers want open integrations or consolidated software. Rentvine is building both: an open API for customers who want best-of-breed tools, and internal features for those who prefer everything in one place.
We want to build and have the best features in Rentvine, so customers want to choose Rentvine and have that really seamless integrated workflow while also continuing to maintain that open API where the customers can control their data. And if there is a better vendor, they're welcome to use it. So I think we want to continue to support those great partners and integration, just giving the industry choice.
And do you see overall trend as being more and more openness and integration partner solutions, or do you see the trend more as consolidating core features into the main product?
I would say we want to offer both. I think different companies are different. Like some property managers might be super tech savvy and want to try the latest and greatest and great. We want to give them that option to use the best tools out there. Some might be like, I don't want to manage different vendors and different contracts and worry about an API having an issue. And so we also want to be able to provide some things internally.
