A generator syncs to the grid by matching frequency around 59.8 Hz and keeping the generator slightly ahead of the grid's phase angle. Once the angles align and the lead condition is right, close the breaker.
Now what you can do, same thing this way. Phase angle separation greatest. As the phase angle comes together, less differential, that's where you close. We're in reverse right now, so we're less than 60, 60 Hz. We're about 59.8 Hz right now on the meter. You want those phase angles close. You want to be leading it just a little bit though when we close in. That's a real That's a good set right there. Bang, that would be a closure right there.
