A banking executive explains why his tech-forward bank still flies out to meet customers in person. Trust in banking and property management is fundamentally relational, he says. The bank is pursuing broker-owner status by 2026 and plans continued road shows because technology complements relationships, never replaces them.
Chapters
The number one thing that I tell my team is no matter how good the technology is, how awesome AI and all the applications and capabilities it offers, banking at the end of the day also comes down to the relationship, like earning that trust. And part of that, you know, means being there in person with our customers. We still fly out and meet all of our customers regardless of where they are. Being part of the conferences, we're a 2026 Noppen partner, going to be a broker owner later this month and attending all the local regional events as well too. That is very, very core to banking. And so No matter how good the trust accounting technology, the AI, all that gets, I think it's very important to say property management is a relationship business, and so is banking. And so that is something we're super, super focused on here, regardless of how crazy good the AI gets or how great the APIs are or anything like that. And so very excited to see everybody on the road, on the conference circuit, at these different events. And thank you so much for having me here today, Peter.
