Peter Lohmann explains why his SaaS company stayed bootstrapped instead of taking venture capital. They use a mixed approach with Anthropic's models on the backend, avoiding the pressure and dilution that VC funding brings.
If I remember right, you guys have not raised any money. Is that still the case?
That's correct.
Okay, so bootstrapped and you're not spending down some multimillion dollar investment where suddenly when it runs out, you're going to have to raise the prices and all that.
Yeah, we've not taken on venture capital, VC money. We've also not taken on any private equity money, kind of fully just building this for our customers with our customers.
Cool. Love that. How does it work with the AI models on the backend? Like, are you guys just like plugged into Anthropic's API or something for some of these voice and text and email AI responses and, and conversations.
This is constantly evolving for us, but we use a mixture of models for each part.
