Hey, everyone, it's Peter. I hope you're having a great week. It's kind of funny because the days seem to blend into each other. Sometimes I don't even know what day it is, whether it's a weekend or not. My work schedule is all over the place. I do shifts here and there, and I've honestly, I've reduced my shifts as of late. So sometimes the days, I have no idea what day it is. The good thing is that I have my kids and my family around me all the time. We're trying to make the most of it. I don't know about you, but I've set some goals, and those goals have been that I want to have better health, I want to lose weight, be fit. I want to have a better relationship with my wife and my kids. And I've spent a lot of time working on these type of things, and I figured, why not be productive? And I've been productive in other ways at work. On the blog, for some of you who know about it, there's something called the Virtual Summit. I'm going to talk a little bit about that in that upcoming really cool event. Yeah. And I've been trying to figure out how to just improve all aspects of my life. And when it comes to doing that, the only way I really feel that I can do that is to try to learn and create good strategy. Right. I think as physicians, we've learned how to learn and whatever works best for you. I was a crammer and I used to procrastinate quite a bit, but it seemed to work for me. Now, I wasn't number one in my class or anything like that, but I got by and I did okay. And that's always what's worked. The funny thing is that as time has gone on and you start to learn different things, the same strategies and techniques don't seem to apply. Now, again, as physicians, we've learned to study. We were very, very good at taking books and squeezing all that knowledge and then being able to regurgitate that right away. The thing is, out in the real world, as things are changing constantly, rapidly, as I'm trying to learn new skills, especially at this point, I found that that actually doesn't work quite as well, doesn't mean I don't read books. I read a ton of books, I read a ton of blogs, I listen to a ton of podcasts. I get that. And I try to squeeze all that in as much as possible. But the one thing that I have learned is that the quickest and fastest and most efficient way is to find someone who is successful at that thing, has done it, and then try to just squeeze as much experience, knowledge, wisdom, past challenges, try to get it out of them as best as possible, meaning that you just model them, Try to get that information from them by being around them, spending time with them, sometimes paying for that knowledge, but knowing that that will shortcut your learning and your experience. And that's the way that I've learned serves me the best because I have limited time, I have some resources now. Some of the funds are there, I have some of the money. But what good is that money if I'm not using it to better buy my time as well as increase my knowledge base and put myself in a position to honestly crush it and do as best as possible? So that's why you'll see me spend so much time taking courses, doing mentorships, joining masterminds, hiring coaches. These are all investments that I'm making. But I've learned that I. I learned so much faster, quicker, easier that way. And I don't know how it is for you and how you've learned, but I hope that over time you figured out what works best for you. But again, I tell people, if you want to learn something, model someone who's doing it right. And I can't stress that well enough and doesn't mean you're going to do exactly what they say. I mean, you're going to learn from them, you're going to figure out what works best for you and then adapt that, right? Adapt that strategy. And you did that in residency, you did that in training. You learned for so many different people and you followed them around, you were on rotation with them, you worked with them, you did surgery with them, you did the procedures with them. And probably today, whatever your practice is or however you are working, it's kind of a. A meshwork of all the people you worked under. And so that's what I've pretty much done today. When learning about real estate investing, learning about business, learning about entrepreneurship, I've made those mistakes on my own, and it'll happen. But now, again, I try to shortcut my experience, my learning and the learning curve and that sort of thing by going straight to a source. If possible. I think it's really important for us as physicians to do that when it comes to especially topics that we haven't been trained in, topics that we haven't spent a whole lot of time learning about. And I think that's especially true when it comes to business and investing. I've spent so much time talking to people in different fields, in different industries, trying to figure out what they're doing, how they're doing it, how they're being successful, and it's totally changed my life. The thing is, I know that there are plenty of people listening to this that want to create streams of income, want to create multiple streams of income, but just haven't really figured out how to get started. And maybe they haven't heard the right story yet to really motivate them and connect them to something deeper that will push them to do these things. You know, in my Facebook group, the Passive Income Docs, during this whole time, I asked a few times, I said, what is the number one thing that I can do to support you? And I kept hearing, we need ideas, we need to hear how people are doing it, how they started. So I went back and thought about it and I remembered those conversations that I've had with multiple people along the way. And I decided to, hey, I should record that. I should document that and make it available to other people. So I found 50 physicians, mostly friends, some people that got introduced me through some of those friends that are just doing some amazing things outside of traditional clinical medicine. They're leveraging their medical degrees and the skills that they've gotten through medical training just being a successful physician and use that to apply to become successful in entrepreneurship, in business in so many different fields. I'm going to name some of them real estate, financial blogs or something called knowledge based businesses, podcasting, venture capital, product creation. Like one of the speakers, she created a fashion shoe line. Another one created another product using anesthesia knowledge and using lidocaine to numb up certain areas of the body. There are physicians who became chief medical officers of certain startups and companies and consulted with those companies and found ways to leverage their experience again and their knowledge to really make an impact out there, do some fun stuff, follow their passions and create other income streams. So I'm so excited to announce that after a couple weeks of doing these interviews, cramming it and big thank you goes out to. My wife was so patient during this time. I mean, all the kids are at home and you might hear some kids screaming in the background. But these interviews got done and we put it together in a format that we call the Leverage and Growth Virtual Summit. I hope you'll join me. It's an absolute free resource if you want to just watch it live. And we have it available in terms of each Talk, available for 48 hours. There's also an opportunity if you want to keep the entire library for life and some other bonuses like extra Q&As and worksheets and discounts on some of these awesome speakers courses and stuff like that. That's available to you as well. But just know that it's a free resource for anyone who signs up then registers now. So go to the website www.levageandgrowth.com. find out more about this Virtual Summit that we're putting together. I have to say I'm super proud of what myself and a bunch of members of my team, including Pranay Parikh, who's a physician, he helped me in terms of organization and just some of the ideas to put this together. And I'm so proud of what the team and I have been able to put together and I think that it'll be a great resource for people out there. At the very least, you're going to get some hear some cool stories, and I hope that inspires and motivates you to go out there and try some new things. You're also going to hear what resources they use and some of the challenges they got through before achieving what they have achieved and what's next for a lot of them. We also have this cool Facebook group that's built up around the community. We just started it a couple days ago and honestly it's already people sharing their stories of cool things that they've done. I've been so inspired. Even there are some people that are sharing about things that they want to do but haven't been able to do. Those are awesome stories too, because we realize we're all in the same place. We're all on this journey together and whatever we can do to support each other, that is what I'm looking for. That is what we should be doing as physicians, supporting each other, really encouraging each other. Because it's tough out there right now as a physician. And so it's really up to us to provide our own security for our own families. And nobody's going to do it for us. So we've got to do it for ourselves and help each other do the same. And so I hope you're able to participate in the event. I hope you tell your friends and your colleagues and other people who might need it. And thank you so much for always supporting what we're doing here at Passive Income md. And we're just trying to create better resources for you. Always open to feedback and hope you have a great week. Thanks everyone. Enjoy the show.
