A short New Year’s Eve 2025 motivational monologue by Russ Lowry encouraging listeners to ‘cut the rope’ — remove negative people, draining obligations, and small unnecessary expenses — rather than adding new tasks as a New Year’s resolution. He frames letting go as a way to free time and mental energy to exercise, eat better, and enjoy life.

Today is a short New Year's Eve 2025 reminder. Instead of adding things to your to do list, next year saying, I'm going to do this and this and this, we're going to call today's talk cut the rope. And we've mentioned this before, I believe in other videos, but the new year is always a good time to do that. You know, cut the rope with negative people in your life. Those people, you're like, I don't know why I even talk to this person. You know, if they're a co worker, just do less with them, try to stay away from them. But if they're friends, acquaintances, someone you have to deal with, they might be vendors. My buddy talks about getting rid of pool guys, his daughter's coaches that aren't. They're just kind of going through the motions. I've talked to you about in the past. Look at all your little expenses. So look and see what you can cut. That's a negative influence in your life. What's draining from you, what's taking financial. Instead of trying to add a bunch of stuff, say I'm going to start doing this, this and this, this year. That's the easiest way to do that. And that's something that's very important. People had all these little negative forces and just life draining forces built up in their life, thinking they can't do that. Start cutting that rope, let them go and see how that frees up your time, your mind for other things and maybe that, that new freedom. Instead of you always worrying about someone or something, now you go for a walk. Now you work out more, now you eat better. But start with cutting all those negative influences out of your life and then go from there. Happy New Year's.
