Loneliness is a huge trigger for people to drink alcohol. But drinking because you're lonely is a really bad plan. In fact, it's highly likely that your loneliness is being triggered by your drinking. Because when we're drinking addictively, we isolate. We keep secrets we keep to ourselves because we don't want anyone else to see the real us. We may have lots of friends and lots of family. You can be in a room full of your closest friends and families, but still feel lonely. And that's because deep down inside, you know that none of those people really know who you are, which is going to keep you feeling disconnected and lonely. Drinking alcohol is a terrible solution for loneliness. Put a 100 emoji in the comments if you agree.
