Short first-person near-death experience (NDE) account by Ray Catania describing observing his lifeless body, encountering an overwhelmingly positive 'white' light described as unity with the light, painlessness, love, and indescribable euphoria; he states that the day he died was the best day of his life. The clip focuses on the emotional and sensory qualities of the light rather than clinical details.
I was in the corner of the room, looking down at my lifeless body. And this did not scare me. I don't know why. In fact, I felt amazing. And adjacent on the other corner, kind of pointing at me, is this huge tunnel. It's a white. You know, calling it a white light is doing it no justice. I mean, it is. This light is painlessness and love. And every positive, beautiful emotion you could ever possibly think of comes with this light. And it. And I am. I am. I've become the light. I'm one with this light. It's a part of me. I'm a part of it. And the feeling of euphoria, which is just indescribable. It's. It was. You know, I. Sometimes I say, it's the best day of my life was the day that I died.
