Everything that's ever happened to you is stored in your subconscious mind. It's never leaving. You may not be able to recall every single thing, but it's in there. It's like a hard drive. It records, it's always there. Can't delete, there is no delete button. But you can overwrite. And this is one of the things I teach people to do. Disconnect from the ego, disconnect from the subconscious, and get your information from source. When you learn how to get everything from source, your whole life changes.
Welcome to Life with Ghosts. Let's Chat, the show that seeks to better understand how to best communicate with our departed loved ones. I'm your host, Stephen Berkley. Tonight's guest, Ray Catania. Hi everyone. I'm sitting today with Ray Catania, a metaphysical teacher, master certified life coach and an award winning author. He believes that modern day spirituality is best taught at the intersection of of science and spirituality. He is passionate about helping others get unstuck, harness the power of their mind and create their own reality. Catania holds a degree in metaphysics from the University of Sedona and is working towards completing a PhD. He is a master certified life coach, a master Usui Reiki instructor, a certified meditation instructor, an ordained minister, and an NDE survivor. At the heart of his work is the ability to intuitively see what others need to transcend their own trauma and self doubt to find lasting inner peace. And I'm going to add to your intro, Ray, just the fact that you have a hell of a story. So that's what I find interesting as an audience member. So first, Ray, welcome to Life with Ghosts. Let's chat.
Steven Berkeley, I thank you so very much. Thank you for having me. It's an honor and a privilege to be with you today.
I really appreciate you making time to talk with us today because I know that you're a rising star. You have something going on with the SHIFT network right now. So things are happening for you. You have two very, very well selling books. I don't know if they're best sellers yet. Are they best sellers? Are they almost best sellers?
Well, they have been a bestseller on Amazon. I don't know. They've won a lot of awards though, I will say that. And I'm very thankful and grateful for the awards that they've won.
So I do want to talk a little bit about your books, but before we get there, tell me a little bit about you personally because I know that you didn't come from anywhere near this world. You're kind of a rough and tumble guy, I would say tell me about your background and tell me, tell me how you got into the space.
Sure. So I guess we got to go all the way back to childhood to kind of take a look at that. I was raised in a Christian home, Italian American family, second generation. And the Christianity aspect, you know, it really didn't sit well with me. It was the rule of the house that, you know, Catholicism I should say was the rule of the house. But I wasn't really, I didn't take well to that. And the reason why is because it wasn't a wonderful childhood. It was one that was like you say, rough and tumble. There was a lot of trauma and drama and violence and other things that made it uncomfortable to be a child in that environment. And I spent a lot of time alone, hiding away from what was going on in the house. And so I would isolate myself for hours at a time, day after day. It was almost like I would come home from school and then hide until night until I could, things would calm down. I would stay out of the way and than be able to go to sleep. So there were hours when I was just sitting alone staring at me a wall or something. We didn't have phones, computers. I had a few toys, but you know, nothing really that would occupy people.
In your house were violent.
Yeah.
And that, that led you to kind of resort to what a closet.
Like where did you hide closet under the bed, in the backyard, in the basement. And it would just be me and me. So what I later learned is that really was a form of meditation. And I was going very, very deep into this meditation because I wanted to escape my reality. And what I was doing was creating another reality that I could visit. And eventually I crossed the veil, so to speak. My so called imaginary friends that I thought they were could answer me. I could start to communicate now. I didn't think anything of this. I just thought everybody could do this. I thought this was perfectly natural. I'm feeling energy, I'm seeing energy. I can converse with this energy. And it didn't frighten me at all. But the pushback on Catholicism so much I went all the way to the other side. And I would have rebelled against my parents regardless of what religion they were. Right. So it was the rebellious nature of me that pushed me to atheism. And that was simply because I just could not believe that there would be this loving, benevolent God that would allow these things to occur to a child, you know. So the first book is called the Atheist and the afterlife. And the reason it's got that title is because I start out as an atheist. I am a skeptic of all things beyond this world, and I go through a big chunk of my life that way. And it's when I'm about 20 years old that I have that NDE you mentioned, or near death experience.
Hey, I'm just going to pause for a moment to remind everyone that the modern mystic Cheryl Page and I are offering a class that we're calling Unveiled. It's basically a class that teaches how to connect to your departed loved ones. To sign up, just go to lifewithghosts.com and click on the school tab. And now back to our regularly scheduled program. Let me ask you this. So you are in this violent household and you're having these relationships with beings.
That no one else sees that no one else. And they won't hit me.
And I'm assuming, was this of great comfort to you? And did these beings, do they give you advice? Like what? Kind of. Tell me a little bit more about those relationships.
You know, honestly, I was so young and I didn't really take it that seriously to ask those types of questions. In hindsight, I would have loved to be able to do that, but I didn't look at it that way. It was more like other kids would watch television and I would create this fantasy world. But I later learned that it wasn't fantasy. It was there to help me, to guide me. But I didn't know that at the time.
Gotcha. Okay, so go on. You're talking about your nde or you were talking about something else just now?
Yeah, it was the NDE. And now I'm about 20 years old. I am 20 years old at the time, and there's a fire in my home. I'm still living at home with my parents. And my bedroom at that time was located just above the kitchen. So what had happened was that everybody went to sleep. The kitchen had a gas leak and it was leaking all. We don't know how many hours, but as you know, natural gas rises. So it was going from the stove up into my bedroom, which was directly above the kitchen. So I was inhaling this gas for who knows how many hours. In the morning, my mother got up to turn on the stove, perhaps to make breakfast, I don't know. And there was this big ball of flames. The way I understand, I didn't see this, of course, big ball of flames. It caught the wall on fire. But my father was able to put it out with a fire extinguisher. Nonetheless, 911 was called. They come to the house and I'm hearing all this commotion downstairs, but I'm still in bed and, and they're waking me up. And so I want to see what's going on in my house. It sounds like there's 20 people in my house, which there were. So I try to get up and this is the first moment that I know something is seriously wrong with me. I try to get up and I notice that a good portion of my body, I would say 80% of my body is paralyzed. I can't move anything. I can't move my head off the pillow. I can't move my face, so I can't yell. I can't move my legs. They feel like two tree trunks that just will not move. I had the use of my arms and that's about all I had. My right arm was much more so than the left. And I would try to pull myself to the edge of the bed to get out of the bed. And every time I would get a couple of inches to the side, I'd pass out again. And then I would hear the commotion, it would wake me up and I would shake it off and go, okay, I gotta get out of this bed, something's wrong. And I start to pull myself again. I passed out again. The third time, I think it's the third time I woke up. I was like, if I don't get out of this bed, I'm dead. I know that this is serious. I got to get out of this bed and no one's coming for me. So I pull with everything I've got and I get to the edge and I tumble out and I hit the floor face first. Now when you land on the floor, you would think the first thing you're expecting is what pain. But I didn't feel any pain when I hit the floor. In fact, I felt nothing because I was no longer in that body. I was above it and I was looking down on my lifeless body. And again, this did not scare me. And I don't know why. Not only did it not scare me, it was the most euphoric experience I've ever had in my life. And I've done a lot of drugs, trust me. And this was the cream of the crop. I mean, I was feeling no pain, I was feeling love. I was feeling just every positive emotion. And it was coming from this white cone shaped light. To call it a light is an understatement, but it's the only term I have for It. This light was love. This light was euphoria. This light was the most amazing thing, for lack of a better word. And I became one with that light. Like, I was a part of the light. It wasn't. I wasn't separate from it. I was a part of it. And I think that'll make more sense later on. So there's a being at the end of the light, and I don't know, man, woman. I can't see the image, but there's a transmission of information that says, ray, it's okay to come into the light. And I'm like, they know my name. And I don't know why, but I trust this person or this being. And I start to go into the light. And the more. The further I go in, the more the euphoria builds, and it gets better and it increases, and I'm like, this is fantastic. I want to get to the other side. I want to see what's on the other side of that tunnel. And in that moment, my father. I guess they heard me, right, Because I hit the floor, and somebody must have said, raise upstairs or whatever. My father came bursting through the door first because I'm still seeing this. I'm still in that room, but I'm hovering. And I see him kicking the door, and I see him scoop me up in his arms, and he's holding me, and he's screaming for the paramedics, and he's distraught, and he's crying. And these are things I've never seen my father do. I've never seen him show any emotion other than anger. That's it. So for him to be very emotional, very distraught, crying, I felt loved. And that was probably the first time that I really felt that. He may have hugged me, like, five times in our lives together, and one of them is when I'm dead. So to see that really affected me. And I asked the being if I could go back. And I said something like, I can't leave him like that. Of course, it wasn't about him. It was about me. Now, I don't know that that's the reason I got to go back, Stephen. I have no idea. But the truth of the matter is, I woke up, and I was not in that room anymore. When I woke up and I came to, I was downstairs in the living room on the floor, and all the paramedics were surrounding me and the firefighters, and they're working on me, and they're. They have their equipment, and they're talking in medical jargon. Bring up the truck. Bring up the truck, I think they said. And that means ambulance. And I still have that feeling of euphoria going through my body. So I feel fantastic. And I'm like, guys, guys, get off me. What are you doing? Like, I don't even understand why they're on top of me right now. I'm like, I feel great. Really, you got to stop. And they're looking at me like, kid, you're not okay. Just relax and lay there. And I'm like, but I've never felt better. You have no idea. Did you. Did you see the light? Did you hear the voice? And now these guys are looking at each other like, okay, what's this kid on? Right? So either that or I'm nuts. So I just close my mouth because I can see that they're looking at each other like I'm not well. And I don't want to wind up going to the wrong hospital. So I just shut up and. And I let them just, you know, do their thing and take me away. When I got to the hospital, I remember sleeping a lot. When I woke up, boy, did the pain set in. When you're in energetic form and you don't have this meat suit, let's call it, all the aches and pains that we deal with on a daily basis that our brain just kind of blocks out after a while, well, they all come back at once. And you feel them all drastically exacerbated because they were gone for a little while. Not to mention my chest from chest compressions and whatever else they used. So all of a sudden, I was just in a ton of pain.
Hey, Ray. Excuse me. This is bothering me.
What killed you with it?
Smoke inhalation.
What caused you to gas inhalation?
Gas inhalation. Okay, so the gas, not the fire, but the gas basically killed you.
Not the smoke, not the fire. That was out in seconds. But I was inhaling gas all night long. And I guess the way you die from the inhalation of gas is it slowly paralyzes your body until eventually it gets to. And I'm just guessing this, I'm not a doctor by any means, but eventually I wouldn't have been able to breathe, and that would have been the end.
So you find out later that a lot of the things you were experiencing were common to nd years.
So, yeah, that's. Now that's a big question in my mind. At the age of 20, I have no computer to go to and search up nde, nor did anyone tell me that was an nde. I didn't even know what that term meant. I don't even know what happened. I'm 20 years old. I'm trying to process this by myself. I brought it up a couple of times, and people told me I was nuts. I was out of my mind. That's ridiculous. That can't happen. So I just shut it down. And the way I did so was I justified it away. My analytical mind kicks in and says, okay, let's look at this. Ray, you fell out of bed, and when you landed, you fell in front of a window, and it was likely a sunny day, and the sun was shining on you, and there's your white light, and it feels warm and it feels wonderful. And then the voice and whatever else you saw, I heard. Well, you had inhaled so much gas that you were probably high out of your mind. And that's the way I chalked it up so I didn't have to deal with it. I didn't have to address it. And I put it in a box and I moved on with my life. But I knew in the back of my mind that it wasn't that simple because you really can't experience that and it not change you. And it really did change me in a lot of ways.
You shut it down for how. For how long did you shut that down?
For a lot of years.
So you went on with your life assuming all of that was just hallucinations and whatever else, but it wasn't. It wasn't any kind of angelic realm.
Nope. Not that I didn't view it that way. And I went on with my life thinking that at that point, I didn't care if I lived or died, because in the back of my mind, I felt like, well, when you die, it's not the worst thing in the world. You just go to this place that's euphoric. So in the back of my mind, I'm accepting the reality, but I also. And I'm not accepting it to the point where I can explain it to other people. When it comes to anybody else, I'm compartmentalizing it. And I'm saying this is not real. I'm basically really confused. I'm a confused young person who's been through trauma, who's been through a lot of things that he cannot explain. And whenever he tells somebody, he's told he's crazy, so I just shut up. But being that young and not caring about living or dying, I took a lot of risks, as you know. I think you read the book and there's stories where I start working for some criminals and I'm working in their businesses and things transpire where just dangerous situations where are near deaths. Like it's kind of weird, right? We call a near death, which is a real death. You actually die and come back and then things that are brushes with death or really near death. But I'll give you an example. So one night I was working in this bar and like I said, I was working for some shady characters. And I was behind the bar and I was just about to leave. It was the end of the night, I was leaving, I put some glasses behind the bar and there was a couple of different groups that were at the bar. All the way to my right was a guy we'll call Vinnie, and that was the boss and he had his crew with him. And then there was another group of guys I had never seen before. And at the end was a drug dealer, always one drug dealer hanging around. And so the drug dealer says, hey, Ray, give me Johnny Walker on the rocks. So I look at Vinnie, Vinnie gives me the head nod because I don't do anything, Les. Vinnie gives me the head nod. He goes like this. I said, okay. And I pour his drink and he goes, no, I don't want that crap. And I was pouring the red. He goes, no, give me Johnny Black. What's wrong with you, kid? So I look at Vinnie. Can I give him the black? He says, nods his head. I go down to get the black because that's locked in a cabinet. Now if this guy actually had any class, he would have ordered the blue and he would have known that that's the premium. But no, he went with the black. He's an idiot, but that's beside the point. So I bend down to unlock this cabinet and I hear, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. And I know that's not firecrackers, although that's what it sounds like indoors. And now I'm frozen. How am I going to get out of here? I'm behind the bar. Nobody knows I'm there yet. Whoever's shooting is not looking for me. I'm not the target. I'm hiding. How am I going to get out? And the same being that was at the end of that light says to me, comes back, says, side door, side door, side door, three times. And I look over to my right and there is a door. But in order to get to that side door, I'm going to be seen by the shooter or shooters. But I don't have another option. I can't find another way out. So I go for the side door, and I get out the side door. But that doesn't get you out of the building, so I'm not in the clear. You have to go out that door. You have to make a left and another left and go down a corridor of about 40ft. That corridor takes you to another side door, which is a fire exit. I went out the fire exit. The irony about that is I parked my car right outside that door that night. I had my own parking space on the other side of the building that was indoors, and I chose to park it there. And I have no idea why on that night I parked there. It was the strangest thing. I cannot recall why I did it. I have no idea, but I did it.
Okay, so who are these people who came into the bar shooting?
I have to probably not answer that.
Okay.
So I don't know who they are.
I got to fill in the audience a little bit because after reading your book, it sounds to me like. And you and I have become friendly, so we kind of know a little bit more behind the scenes stuff. Yeah, it sounds to me from reading your book that you grew up in a family that's kind of like the Sopranos. It's. It's a dangerous place to be. And so this could have been, you know, part of this is business as usual, in a way. What was happening that night?
I remember I was like a little kid and I said, ma, what's the mafia? And she goes, oh, that's just a group of people that help people come to America. And I was like, oh, maybe I'll do that one day. I'd like to help people come to America. That was the answer I got.
Okay, so. And how old are you when this.
Happened, the shoot in a bar? Yeah, a little over 20. So I'm about 21, 22.
You're in your early 20s. And you. This is kind of the family business you're in right now.
No, no, no, no, no. Let me.
What is this?
I'm not working for the family. No, no, no. By no means. I'm working for a family. It's not mine and not your family.
Okay.
No, no, no.
And you're bartending.
I was that night, but I was not a bartender. I just worked in these establishments that they would own and. Or I should say control. I don't know if they own or control. I don't ask questions. That's what they liked about me. I don't ask any questions.
It sounds like people got killed that night or hurt.
I didn't stick around to find out.
Oh, so you don't even know what happened? You just got out of there? Just went back.
Never.
Oh, man.
No way.
And this is in New York?
Yeah.
Gotcha.
Okay, so. But that being has been with me many, many times in situations where I should be dead.
So this is. You have like a. Your own little guardian angel, it seems. Sounds like.
I believe he is. He is a guide. I. I believe I know who he is now. We have a better relationship. I. You know. But then.
Does he have a name?
I believe it's Thaddeus. And it was. Actually. He told me his name. This is kind of a funny story. So I had been asking him his name for years, right? And he wouldn't tell me. So finally he told me. And he told me as I was falling asleep. And one of the things I always tell my clients is if you get something when you're in a Theta state, which is right before you fall asleep, write it down or put it into your phone so you don't forget it in the morning. Because that type of information is super fragile, and if you don't get it somewhere, you may forget it. So the next morning I woke up and I said, how am I going to forget a name like Thaddeus, right? I can't forget that. And I woke up the next morning and it was gone. And I said, could you please tell me again? And absolutely silence. Nothing. For three years. He would not tell me. Three years. And I'm on a show like this. I'm on a podcast, but I'm on. The host is a medium. And she says, you know, Thaddeus is here. And I said, whoa. You know Thaddeus? And it clicked in that moment because I. I had been trying to remember his name with my. I was like, I think it's like Teddy or it's like there's a T in it. And, you know, I'm trying to work it out and sound it out. Three many, many years later, I'm doing this podcast. And she's like, thaddeus is here. And he says. And I was like, you know Thaddeus. And it's all on. It's on the podcast. Like, I totally lose it.
So who did you share this information with?
No one. No one.
At some point, it started to feel okay and safe for you to come out of this Thaddeus closet. Right? So what happened that brought you out?
So we got to fast forward a little bit.
First.
I'll tell you that before we get ahead. When I was very young, still 2122 or young 20s, let's say I got my, my, my apartment, my first apartment, and I was a kid who crossed over and I could see these things to begin with. But now after I had the nde, I got my own apartment and I noticed that it was like I had a direct portal to the other side. And they had a direct portal to me. So the interpretation, if you came into my house, many people came into that apartment and said, you know your place is haunted, right. And I would just chuckle because I'm still an atheist, right. I don't believe in that crap. But they would leave. And those beings in the room, that energy you can feel that they stay, they don't go. And they were very, very persistent. And anything electrical would not work or would work by itself. On, off, whatever. And it really started to freak me out. And I kept calling the maintenance guy, I'm like, there's something wrong with my electrical equipment here. Nothing works. The phone cuts out, this cuts out, nothing. And after like 30 times, the guy comes, the maintenance guy, and he says, listen to me, kid, I'm going to tell you this one last time. A, never call me again. B, you're crazy. I was like, okay, so now I'm starting to believe that I'm crazy. I don't think that I have any superpowers. I think I'm crazy and I can't turn this off. So I turn to alcohol and drugs big time. That's the only way I can sleep. It's the only way I can turn it off. It's the only way I can make them go away. They don't really go away, but I can fall asleep.
So these beings in your house were frightening you? They weren't just beings that were kind of just control the electronics or messed with the electronics.
Yeah, I mean, in hindsight they were just trying to get my attention. They probably had a message to get across and I didn't understand. And that's all it was. But I don't know this yet. So I turned to substances to make it stop. I moved out of that apartment into a new apartment. And I remember in 10 months, my insomnia was so bad I couldn't function. And I moved to a different apartment and the exact same thing happened.
So they came with you?
Yeah, they came with me. It's not the apartment, it's me. Right? No matter where I go, they're coming, they're in the car, they're here, they're there. If I'm visiting, they're just there. More drinking, more drugs. More drinking, more drugs. Working.
Ray. Why, why, why you? Why are they attaching themselves to you? Is it the family you were born into? Is it has a lot of. You know.
The only thing I know for sure is the one thing I've studied with many mediums now, and both colleagues and peers and teachers and mentors. We all have this one common denominator, and that is severe repetitive trauma. Other than that, I have no idea. But when you are traumatized severely, your mind goes elsewhere and it's to escape the reality that you're in. Let's say you're getting bludgeoned and beating, beaten to death. Your mind can leave your body so that you don't have to experience that for a little while. You'll come back or you'll die, whichever comes first. But you can do that. And, and it's a defense mechanism, I believe, that's built into the body. A lot of women who say they were attacked say that I. I watched the attack from above, down. I wasn't in the attack anymore. When they surrendered to being attacked, they exited their body and had the out of body experience, so they didn't have to experience it. That type of repetitive trauma, serious, significant repetitive trauma is the one thing that every medium I've ever spoken to has had at least one of those.
So at some point you realized this could actually, you could put this to work for you. You don't have to be just a victim of it. It could be something that you capitalize on and have a better life for it.
Not only that, but I became grateful and thankful for those traumas because if I did not have them, I wouldn't be sitting here with you today. I wouldn't have done any of the things that I've done. I wouldn't be able to help the thousands of people that I've helped. So I'm grateful for that. I don't consider those to be. I'm not a victim at all.
Let's talk a little about how you help others with this, with Thaddeus or whoever else is in your realm. What. What do you do with people?
So I became a coach who deals primarily in metaphysical parapsychology. And parapsychology is the study of all things supernatural. And we're not talking about things like UFOs or other types or even astrology. And I'm not insulting those things by any means. I'm just saying that doesn't fall into this category. The category is more about telepathy, speaking and reading energy and Things of really everything comes down to being able to interpret the energy that's around us. Everything is made up of energy, including you and I, especially your mind. The brain creates the mind, but the mind controls the brain and the body and everything else around it. So if you acknowledge that your mind is energy and you have the ability to read energy, why would it be so far fetched that we can communicate with our energy? Isn't that the way a cell phone works? If I dial my phone and I dial your number, I'm simplifying this, of course I dial your number, my phone goes to your phone's frequency and we connect and we can communicate. It's that simple. So when you really think about the simplicity of how we communicate with frequencies, everything's on a frequency. The cells that run through your bodies are on frequencies. Everything. The floor. The reason I don't fall through this floor is because the frequencies are like attracts like and it sticks together like a magnet. That's why I don't fall through the floor. Now if it was water, I would fall through it because it vibrates at a higher frequency. Everything vibrates at a frequency. And when you can start to tap into that, you know a big joke when I was growing up, I remember it was the butt end of every one of my jokes, being one with the universe. But now I understand that because you can actually feel these frequencies, we all can. Like, I'm not special. I don't have any special abilities that I was born with. It didn't happen that way.
I don't have a Thaddeus.
You do. You haven't met him yet, or her. And, and you do. In fact everyone does. But it's not that easy to communicate. It's not that easy to be able to read that energy that's being given to you. And that's where the things like the trauma come into play. I think so.
Just because we have a particular kind of audience and our audience are people who have lost a loved one in, let's say the last five years. Some people more, some people less. But it's somewhere in that span of time. If a member of my audience comes to you, let's take me for example, I come to you and I say I lost someone and I'm in grief and I'm hurting and I want to connect and I need help. What do you tell me?
Well, I'll give you start with an example of one of the connections that I recently had with my aunt who passed away. I was sitting at a table after her passing with her two daughters and who are a little bit older than me. And we were just kind of reminiscing different stories about her and how much we loved her, etc. Etc. And I always considered her like a second mother. We were. I was close with her, so it really had an effect on me. One of the stories that one of her daughters told was a story involving these dimes. And to be honest, I don't really remember what the story was because it's not going to be relevant to my story. But the fact was, I heard dimes and her name in the same sentence is all it took because now I have that association. I walk away from that table, dimes.
And.
From that moment forward, I start to find dimes everywhere. Now, and this may sound okay, you found a dime on the ground? Anybody could find a dime on the ground. No, I found a dime under my body in between me and the mattress that I was laying on when I was sleeping. And if that's not enough, I started to find them in my pockets. Just one at a time. Or three. That's it. Always one or three in my pocket. The dime is the least used coin. And we don't even use cash, right? I mean, this house, we have no cash at all. The kids are grown. They don't have piggy banks anymore. We don't have cash. We have cards. So all these dimes start popping up. And I said to my wife, I said, I've been finding dimes everywhere. She goes, you too? She's like, I don't know. She pulls out a jar of dimes, and I said, where'd you get those? She goes, they're all over the house. I don't know where they're coming from. I said, I don't. Said, I don't know either. But I knew. And it was like, it's a little thing between us. And when I'm having a tough day, I'll find a dime. And that's her saying, hey, I got you.
Is there a significance to the dime?
Yeah, it's to let me know that what I'm doing is what I'm supposed to be doing. Relax, go through it, come out the other side.
Why a dime? What's the significance of a dime?
I'd have to go back and ask her daughter, but the point is, is that I associated the dime with her. You may have an association with your mom that's completely different. Maybe it's a bird. Maybe it's. You had an experience with her that was a balloon, you know, it could be anything at all. Certain numbers. Numbers are very popular. Right.
If I found a dime, I would think of who's on the dime. Fdr. Let's say it's fdr.
Yeah.
FDR is known for who's best known for the new deal. Maybe it has something to do with Ray having a new deal in life.
Well, you're getting a little analytical. Remember I just walked away from a table and I had a conversation about her and dimes.
Okay, gotcha.
You know what I mean? So, yeah, you would have to go into your memory bank and find the common thing that you guys joked about. What was. You know, let's say maybe you're. You had an uncle pass away who was a big football fan. He loved the New York Giants. And all of a sudden, everything New York Giants starts popping up around you, and you don't even live in New Jersey. That kind of thing. That's what you're looking for. And it's that synchronicity, those things that you guys have as like your little private joke between the two of you that no one else understands. And all of a sudden, here comes those things out of nowhere.
Gotcha.
That's when you know they're there.
So let's get back to my question. I'm a new client of yours and I'm missing a depart. A departed loved one.
Yep.
What should we do? Where do we start?
We start by looking for those things in your lifetime that you have that association with this person. So I would ask you some questions, like, was there ever a time that you guys did something together that was very memorable that changed your world or hers or his? Was there something that you guys always did together? I can give you an example. My wife and her father would go to Yankee games together and they would sit at the same seats. And the seat numbers were. Whatever the seat numbers were, I don't recall. But those numbers would pop up everywhere. And I mean, from license plates to the time of day to a form that she had to fill out on a piece of paper. Anything you could possibly think of. There's the number, and that's a reassurance that this person is present. And you'll feel it. Because you feel different when somebody else is in the room that you can't see. There's a certain vibration.
Are you saying, Ray, that you tell the client, or me in this case, to stay alert for those synchronicities, those little things that remind you of the relationship you had with that person?
That's right. And. And then you Start. And so many times people say, oh, yes, now I remember. And then this happened. And you start to piece it together. With some clients, I tell them to make a synchronicity map. And a synchronicity map is where you start to write down all these different synchronicities, and you put them in chronological order, and you can start to figure out what they mean and who they're from, if they're coming from, you know, source, or they're coming from a loved one, or they're coming from wherever. And we can start to decipher that. And you can put a synchronicity map together. You can go back. I tell people, don't go back all the way to childhood, but start it at, like, you know, when you're like, 20 years old or so, and work your way up from there, depending on how old the person is. Right. But usually from from the age of 20 on, and you can actually build a map. So when this synchronicity occurred, I did this. So this synchronicity occurred. I got this job as a result. And that job took me to this job which took me to meet this person who changed my entire trajectory of life and made me take a new career path in this. And when you map that out and you go look at those synchronicities that have altered your life and changed your life, and I'm simplifying it for time constraints, but you will stare at this thing and go, oh, my God, there's my whole life. And they were all spiritually altered several times. And it's not until we actually do that I wrote a book. That's how I did it. But I don't know that everybody's going to write a book. You can make a map. You could take a big piece of poster board, and you can just start mapping it out year by year by year by year and watch your life and how it was spiritually transformed.
That's very informative and helpful. I happen to know, because I know you, that you offer a lot of different services. And I'm thinking we're just looking at the tip of the iceberg right now. Let's hear something else. Something to really accelerate my reunion, let's say, with my departed, we talk a little bit about manifestation. Is manifestation something that I can do to help me reunite?
Yeah. So, for example, one of the things that I was taught, and it was for the purpose of manifestation, was a particular meditation. And I think you and I discussed possibly doing a class on this for your people, which we will but the.
The.
That particular. I call it the foundation meditation. And it's because it's the foundation really, of all things. It's not just about manifestation. You can use this to connect with your guides. You can use this to connect with source. You can use this to connect with your loved ones. You don't have to be a medium to be able to speak to your loved ones. Okay? A medium can speak to anybody. And to be honest with you, I'm not crazy about the fact that I can do that. If there was one gift, so to speak, I could give back, it might be that one. Because don't think because people die. They're nice all of a sudden they can still be assholes. You know, excuse my language. So, you know, but your loved ones, because they're your loved ones and you have that bond with them, you can communicate with them, be it through, you know, different dynamics, like we discussed. Finding a common one is a certain type of bird. I know, I'm getting off track. Tell me your question again.
Because manifestation meditation. Meditation you're talking about, which will help me and everyone else connect.
Connect. Okay, what is it? One of the things that I teach. Well, this meditation is very specific so that you can connect to your higher self, which is connected to source. You could say, call it God, collective consciousness, whatever word you wish to use. The one thing. We were taught, all religions get this one thing right. You're a part of God. God's a part of you. Okay? And you can substitute the word God for whatever you wish. But that part, that connection that you have, is your higher self. Now, where do we get most of our information from? We don't get it from our higher selves. And you even just said that. Where do you get it from? You know the answer in your head, in your mind, from your ego, which takes it from your subconscious, which are your past experiences. So when you are deciding to do something, you're basing it on the past, and your ego is telling you what to do using past information. What I never hear people say is, I get it from source. Well, why not? Because when I was able to make that distinction, that I could get information from source, I never wanted to go back to my ego again. But my ego would hold on, and it will fight and it will try to cut me down, and it will try to tell me, you know, you look stupid. You shouldn't be talking about this. This is absolutely crazy. What are you doing? Go get a real job. And all that other stuff. Because it wants to control me. That's the ego. And I don't mean ego isn't egotistical. I mean ego is in sense of self, like Freud and Jung were discussing. So that ego comes from the things that happened to you in the past. Everything that's ever happened to you is stored in your subconscious mind. It's never leaving. You may not be able to recall every single thing, but it's in there. It's like a hard drive. It records. It's always there. You can't delete. There is no delete button, just like there really isn't on a hard drive. But you can overwrite. And this is one of the things I teach people to do. Disconnect from the ego, disconnect from the subconscious, and get your information from source. Wouldn't it be great if you. If you're at a crossroads in your life and you want to know, should I go left or should I go right? Well, do you want to ask your ego, which only has yesterday's information to give you, or do you want to go to source? Well, when you learn how to get everything from source, your whole life changes. Because that's the right answer.
How do I learn this meditation? I will teach it to you right now.
No.
Is that the carrot?
Yeah. It'll take a little while, so we'll do a class on that.
Okay, good. We'll do a class together. That'll be fun.
It is. It is. And I'll tell you a story about the first time it was given to me and how it was so mind blowing because I was still on the fence, believing or not believing I had come to terms with that.
