First-person account by Ray Catania of an out-of-body / near-death experience. The speaker describes observing his own lifeless body from above (upper-left corner of a ‘perfect square’ room), feeling no fear and intense euphoria, encountering a bright white cone-shaped light described as his "energetic self," and feeling com-mingled with that light as he moved into it.
It was almost like I was removed just before the pain kicks in. I was above it and the room was a perfect square and I was in the upper left hand corner of the room looking down at my lifeless body. It sounds really scary, but actually, for some strange reason, I was not scared. In fact, I felt great. I felt wonderful. It was one of the greatest feelings that I've ever experienced in my entire life. Adjacent for me in the opposite corner was a bright white cone shaped light, almost like a spotlight that was on my energetic self. Not my dead self, but my energetic self. And I was commingled with the light. Like in other words, I was one with that light. The feeling of euphoria just increased as I went into the light.
