Ray Catania describes his gratitude to mentors, his formal and self-directed study in metaphysics (master's completed, PhD in progress), and his broad reading across spiritual authors (Deepak, Eckhart) and physicists (Einstein, Bohr, Tesla). He explains that he synthesizes physics and spirituality into what he calls "scientific spirituality," a form of metaphysics that integrates elements of both fields.

I'm so thankful for both the mentors that I've had. I cannot even begin to express the gratitude that I have to both of them. And he taught me so many things about spirituality. And I became a person that I had to learn everything there was. I went back to college for metaphysics. I achieved my master's. I'm working towards my PhD right now. I've read every book under the sun, from Deepak to Eckhart to also on the other side, many of the great physicists. Physicists such as Einstein, Bohr, Tesla, you name them.
All the rock stars of the 30s that would discover quantum physics. And what I started to be able to do with my new knowledge was I was able to start to put together physics with spirituality. And I call it scientific spirituality. And it's. It's metaphysics with these elements.
