The Book Club Across the Veil with Ray Catania Oct 24 23

Transcript of a live YouTube book-club (Oct 24, 2023) featuring author Ray Catania discussing his autobiography The Atheist and the Afterlife and his newer book You're Still Alive Now Act Like It. Ray recounts childhood trauma, long-term isolation beginning in early childhood, a near-death experience (NDE) during a gas-fire incident circa age 20, and subsequent development of clairvoyant/medium abilities. He outlines a personal theory linking consciousness and dark energy (speculating deceased consciousness contributes to dark energy and cosmic expansion), describes sensory/telepathic ways spirit communication appears (visual 'movie screen' imagery, smells, audio), and answers audience questions on mediumship, signs (colored orbs/blue lights), and practical boundaries for working as a medium. Closing includes a signed-book giveaway and contact instructions.

Foreign. Let's get started and welcome to Ray Catania, our special guest author at the book club across the Veil Today. Ray is a multi award winning author. His first book, the Atheist and the Afterlife is the book we'll be discussing with him today. He has a new book out that's also winning awards. It's called you are Still Alive Now Act Like It. So I'm going to start with a bio on Ray. Ray is a metaphysical teacher, master, certified life coach and an award winning authority. He believes that modern day spirituality is best taught at the intersection of science and spirituality. It's right up my alley. He's passionate about helping others get unstuck and harness the power of their mind, creating their own reality. His first book, the Atheist and the Afterlife is the true story of his own spiritual awakening. With a no holds barred approach, he shares vulnerable stories of personal trauma, mystical experiences and his ultimate transformation from an atheist to an NDE survivor to an intuitive and a developing medium. His second book, you're Still Alive Now Act like it, shares how he developed the ability to help others through personal experiences and scientific theories. He shares techniques that anyone can use to recreate what he's learned. He's a graduate of metaphysics pursuing a PhD in metaphysical parapsychology, a near death survivor, an ordained minister, a Master USUI Reiki instructor, a certified Meditation instructor. At the heart of his work is his ability to intuitively see what others need to transcend their own trauma and self doubt and to find lasting inner peace. So I have a copy of Ray's book here. I always show my copy, everyone can see it and it's full of my post. Its where I highlight things that stood out for me in the book and I so briefly, before Ray takes over the conversation, I oh we have another another person coming in. I'm just going to let admit them in. Welcome I My synopsis of the Atheist and the Afterlife the book full title the Atheist in the Afterlife An Autobiography A True Story of Inspiration, Transformation and the Pursuit of Enlightenment is the first book in Ray Catania's series. In this amazing autobiography, Ray Catania tells his story about how he evolved from being an atheist to a gifted clairvoyant medium. I couldn't put this book down from start to finish. As I said, this stuff is right up my alley. I knew that I had been guided to read it. Although I have never been an atheist, I have been a skeptic, a hard nut to crack and this book helped confirm that my skepticism is best left in the past. It has a whole section on science and the afterlife. I'll let Ray explain all of that along with his story and his theories.
It's an honor and a pleasure to be here. Such an awesome introduction. I hope I can live up to it. You, you said that so well. The book the Atheist and the Afterlife the title comes fact that yes I started out as an atheist the reason being came from a very Christian home and. But it was a very unhappy home. It wasn't one. And I know, you know I've forgiven my parents and I've let a lot of things go and I realized that and. But during the time when these things were happening it was a happy. A lot of trauma, violence and things that you wouldn't want to see in your home. So as a young child I would hide and isolate myself so as to not be exposed. Sometimes that would work, sometimes that didn't. Now sometimes I would isolate night after night after night. And I tell this story in the book in the first chapter the Yankees were on the radio all the time. We didn't have the Internet back then showing my age, but I would have a little radio and I would have the radio next to listen to the Yankee game and a closet and I would just be listening to that and getting through the night until everything would settle down and then go to bed and hopefully nothing would transpire in the middle of the night. So this went on for years and years and years. They recently, I think it was 20, not sure the exact years. About six or seven years ago they actually changed the Mandela rules that were set up so that prisoners are not tortured by being in solitary for too long. Fifteen days is the maximum that you're supposed to be in solitary confinement. Well, I started this at the age of five and I left the house at the age of 11. So that's a hell of a lot longer than 15. So you can imagine being alone in the situation, you can start to feel energy that you would not normally see or feel because you're looking at that were explained to you as being man made. This is a wall. The color of the wall is white. You know these, these things are explained to you. But now you strip away the man made items which is eventually going to happen because you're just staring now it's just thing, that thing is made of energy and you can start to see the energy, you can start to feel the energy. And if I'll I could even interact with some of these energies because they were the consciousness of the deceased. Now I just thought they Were my imaginary friends and everyone had them. I didn't know it was any different than anybody else, but when I told my parents I was the Antichrist and of course I was going to hell and I was going to be punished severely. So I put that away in a box, never mentioned it again, never spoke to them again or tried to avoid them to the best of my ability. You're not real. Go away. You're not real. Stayed with me, and for good reason. And I'll get to that in a moment. But, um. And at about the age of 20, or I think I actually was 20, I D E There was a fire in my home. And the. The fire wasn't so dangerous, but what was happening was there was a gas leak from the stove. And the stove, which was leaking gas, was located directly beneath my bedroom. I was still living at home. My parents room was right above the stove and the stove was leaking gas probably for hours. So I was just inhaling the fumes. But I didn't know because I was asleep. So in the morning, my mom must have got up, turned on the stove and it just went poof and you know, flames. But it didn't last very long. It just went out. But the fire department instantly. And I heard this commotion and so wanted to see what the commotion was. I tried to get out of bed and I couldn't move. Most of my body was paralyzed, even my mouth, so I couldn't yell. I couldn't bring myself to yell. So I tried to get out of the bed and I passed again. And then I heard more fire trucks and more commotion again. And I passed out again. The third time I passed out, I said, if I don't get out of this bed, I know I'm going to die because I don't feel right. I don't know what's wrong with me. I just know that this is really bad. So I get to the edge of the bed and I must have tumbled out of it. It's the last thing I remember. I hit the floor face first. Still have the scar. Face first down. But just before you hit, I didn't feel anything because now I'm above myself and I could tell you the exact corner of the room I was in. I could tell you where I was. I could tell you where everything is in that room. But I'm not in my lifeless body. I'm just looking at it, puzzled, feeling great. And the. I know you've heard this over and over, but this is the truth. It is a white, beautiful, bright light. And and just to describe it as a light does not do it justice. It is an energy euphoric beyond words. There's just. There's no words to describe the energy that is encompassed within this light. I wanted to go into the light. Anybody would want to go into the light. And there was a being at the end of the light. I don't know, male, female. I'm not going to say who it was. I have no idea. But they said it was safe to come into the light. And they knew my name, said, ray, come into the light. It's okay. And I looked down, and by now my father had heard the thump and came upstairs to scoop me up. And he was screaming for the paramedics. Now, why they didn't come and get me in the beginning when the fire trucks came, you know, I don't really know, you know, but that goes to show you the great parenting I had, right?
So.
They. I'm looking down at the situation, and I wanted to have that relationship. I never saw my father cry at all, ever, let alone over me. So I wanted to go back. And I asked. I need to go back. I don't want to leave him like that. And the next thing I know, when I wake up, I'm not in my bedroom. I'm on the living room floor, and the paramedics have all their tools and their gadgets, and they're working on me. And I'm like, anybody see that light? Anybody hear the voice? Anybody? And then I'm. I'm thinking, I better shut the hell up. Because this is probably one of those moments where they're going to take me to the wrong hospital. So I stopped talking, and I just let them do their thing, and they bring me to the hospital. And my mother, who was in denial over this for many, many years, and I can understand why, because who leaves their son in a bed when the house is on fire? She said it never happened until she read my book, and she was 82 years old. And she said, you didn't just die once, you died four times. Because I died en route to the hospital. But I didn't know that. So, anyway, it was a big moment for her and I. We reconnected at 82, and she told me she was proud of me for the first time ever. So that was meant a lot. It takes a long time sometimes, but it happens. So now, being a person who can read energy, feel energy, and associate with it crossing over, coming back, they. They know we have a. A relationship now, right? They know I can see them Feel them. And by the way, let me express how I don't have a word for the way it's transmitted. So I say see or I say hear. I'm not seeing anything with my eyes, I'm not hearing anything with my ears. You think you are, but it's all here. It's just telepathic, okay? Because if I was seeing them, then I do go to the nuthouse. I am schizophrenic. You can take me away then, okay? But that's not the way it works. It's like a movie screen in my head and I can see them. That's the best way I can describe it and I can hear them. It has audio sometimes, or sometimes smells. It's every sense you can think of will come across. So anyway, so if I say see here, that's what I mean. Now that they know that I can interact with them, they're not going to leave me alone, right? They're there now, okay? And I'm trying to push back because I rebel from Christianity and I'm an atheist, damn it. And that's the way I'm going to stay. And that's strictly from just being rebellious as a child and not wanting to do anything that my parents told me I had to do because that was the relationship. But here's what these guys, girls, beings did for me. I probably the first half of my life is chaos, right? So chaos is my comfort zone. If there's no chaos, I don't know what to do with myself. So I have to create chaos, right? I have to create self destructive behaviors. I have to put myself in bad situations. Otherwise I don't get my feeling of worth because that's how I got it at home. And this is my programming as a child. And this is what the whole second book is about, how to fix that. But in this is what I'm learning in book one. So as I'm learning this and I'm going through this process, I've. I worked for some terrible people, criminals. I did some bad things, I observed bad things. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I nearly died. I lost count of how many times. There are so many car accidents that now I think about them. I manifested those accidents. There was one in particular where I was working. I got out of. No, this was before I got into working for those guys. I had a real job, quote unquote. And I had a female supervisor who I had to sleep with to keep my job. And I was so pissed off that I had to do this, I just hate. I'm like, I can't do this any longer. I just can't do it. What if I had an accident and I didn't get hurt that much, but I got enough money that I could stay home and I didn't have to do this job anymore? And then I had that accident, but I nearly died. So I manifested. You can manifest negative. You don't always have to manifest positive. And if you're self destructive, trust me, you're going to manifest negative. So just to give you an example of part of my younger years, that sums it up. But here's the thing. In the worst moments, okay, during that car accident, during a shootout, when I was in the middle of it, during any of these events where I could have lost my life, I was told how to get out of the situation alive. Very calmly, I'll tell you. There's another story where I'm swimming out into the ocean as a little kid. My father's watching me from shore. I'm going under. He's not coming out to get me. The lifeguards, the lifeguards looking the wrong way. I'm going down. The undertow sucking me out. And my father's just there. He's a Navy seal, for Christ's sake. He's not coming to get me. So I'm about to die and I'm starting to panic and my heart's beating and I get this, Here it is again. This person, this thing that looks out for me all the time says, ray, relax. Swim sideways. Take as long as you need to get to shore. Don't worry about how long it takes. Just breathe and swim sideways. Now later I learned that that's what you're supposed to do if you're in. Undertow takes you back. You're supposed to swim on an angle until you get to shore. That's the proper way. I didn't know that. Who told, who gave me that information? So as much as I'm trying to reject any form of spirituality, I'm trying to be an atheist. I'm literally telling these people, I don't believe in you. They keep helping me. They're there for me. When I was 11 years old, I got a job because I couldn't stay in the house anymore. I remember I said I left the house at 11. I didn't pack my bags and move out. But what I did was I got a job. And my job, I worked for $1 an hour in a pizzeria. I begged this guy for the job. $1 an hour. Didn't care. I had a job. I worked till 11 o' clock at night and I went home at 1am So 11 11, why did I go home at 1am? Because they told me it was safe to go home at 1am they told me to get the job that paid a dollar an hour to get out of the house. I was safe out of the house until 1am that was the message. And that's what I did. So I didn't go home until 1am by the time I got home at 1am everybody would be asleep and I would just slip in and I would get up and go to school the next day. So they've always been there, always been there. And that was the process that started to get me to believe there's something more. But even the nde, there's a part of my life, right? There's this still this skepticism that exists inside me that just wants to justify the NDE away. So here's how I did it. I figured, well, you know, when I round, I probably fell in front of a window and it was a sunny day, so the white light is the sun shining on me. And the things that I saw and felt, well, that all of that euphoria was probably because I was stoned from inhaling gas, right? Simple, right? I could explain it away, I could put it in the box and I didn't have to bring it up ever again. I, again, it was shot down. So rather than be chastised or told I was crazy, I figured, let's just go this route and box it up and put it away. So Now I'm about 22 and I'm. I move out and I got my first bachelor pad and I'm like, this is going to be great. You know, it's going to be parties and checks and this and that and all my friends and everything. And none of that happens, none of that. Because every night I get home from work, the place is filled with energy. It's. There's already a party going on of dead people every place. And they drive me nuts. I cannot sleep. The toast off, the blender goes on and off. The alarm goes on and off. The phone cuts out. I sleep at all. I'm like, this place is haunted. I gotta get out of here. I remember calling up my friend. I'm like, Paulie. That's what he called him. Big Paulie. Hey, I gotta get out of here, bro. This place is haunted. Click and I dial him back. Did you hang up on me? No, you hung up on me. No, you hung up on me. Click. There it goes again. I had a 10, a 12 month lease. I was out of there in 10 months. And I went to another place. I moved into the next place. What do you think happened? They all came. The places weren't haunted. I was, didn't matter where I went. I could have went to Siberia. So I had to learn how to deal with. That's what I did. Tons of drugs and alcohol. That was because I could sleep. The more drugs and alcohol I did, it would knock me out and put me to sleep. And that went on and on and on for a while until I had got married and had kids. And when I had kids, that was a wake up call. And I was like, okay, now I am responsible for these little humans. And I checked myself into rehab, I'm sober 17 years. And I went back to college, got my degree, got a real job on Wall street, made a ton of money, did very well, took care of my kids, got a divorce. I kept the kids and moved forward with a productive life. Still had everything else, but just kind of pushed it until remember now, many, many years later. It took me a long time to date. I did not for a long time. Eventually I did. And I met a woman that I speak of in the book in part two who I instantly fell in love with. And she was, is a psychology and neuropsychology highly educated in the mental health. We meet online because we both joined the same website. And I sent one email on that website. I joined because she was the example. There were three examples, she was one of them. And I joined because of her. And I sent her the email and I told her, you're the reason I'm joining the email. This thing I'm sending one email, if you don't respond, that's it. And I said a little bit more than that. It's a long letter in the book. It's kind of funny, but she thought it was comical. She answered me, we went out on a couple of dates and then I started this man who would keep coming to me very vivid, more so than any. Not, not just little messages. Now here was a guy that was like getting in my way of living and giving me the same message. And it would be like this 8 second video loop that would play over and over and over in my mind. I effed up mistake. You can help her. I cannot. Big, full beard, full black head of hair, husky guy, never have no idea who he is. It starts on a firm increases and gets worse as the weekend Goes on day worse. By Sunday, I can't function because he's all I see. Over and over. I remember the moment I'm in CVS and I'm trying to pay for my merchandise. And I'm at the counter, and I must have froze. And the girl goes, are you okay, sir? No. No, I'm not. And I went out to my car and I sat down and I said, I really got to think about this now. I'm in love with a woman who can help me because I'm crazy. I'm batshit. I need to. I am insane. This is not real. This cannot be real. I need to get help, but I'm going to lose her time. How am I going to do this? Maybe I just go see somebody else. But by the time I get to see somebody else, I'm. I'm going to be checked in because I can't even. I can't even drive now. This man will not leave me alone. So we go out to dinner, and I say, hey, honey, how's the salmon? I see dead people. Not exactly the way it went. But I said, listen, I keep seeing this man, and I don't know who else to tell. Honestly. I said, I know. If you run for the hills, I completely understand. I'm probably out of my mind. I really. And she says very, very nonchalantly, she's like, probably my dad. I've seen mediums a thousand times. He comes through all the time. You're probably just a medium. I said, what the hell's a medium? I don't know what this is. I don't. I don't. I don't believe in mediums or psychics or any of that stuff. I don't even know what the term means. She says, well, you know, she explains to me and goes on to what it is. And I said, wait, wait, wait. I said, timeout. This guy does not look like your father. Like, I say, he's got the mustache. He's got the hair. He's big, husky guy. I said, that's not your dad. I saw the picture on the mantle where he's much thin. You know, he's thin and he's. He shaved. He's cleanly. She's like, no, no, no, no, no. That was after he came back from the doctor, who yelled at him for being overweight. And he shaved and he cleaned up, and we were going to a wedding, and yada, yada, yada at him. Let me show you him. And she shows me on her phone. That's him. And I said, holy shit. You know that guy? She goes, that's my dad. So. And I was like, he talks to me. He died in 1990, and my heart just was in my stomach. So the second I told her what he said, it was gone. The feeling was gone. Like I was relieved. It was out of me, and I was completely. I was not feeling the deep vibrations and that and seeing that over and over and over. So what I had to do, which I didn't know, was simply give the message to the person it was meant for, which was. And that message actually saved somebody's life, which I tell that story in the book, but it took us a while to figure out who it was and everything else. So that's the beginning. That's how it all started. That's the story. That's the short version of the story.
Well, thank you for. For that short version of the story.
Short, long.
You know what? It's. It's. It is a short version of, Of a very long story. And. And fortunately, you're such a good writer, you. You make it interesting, easy to read, and funny, too. I mean, the humor is good. I enjoy reading humor in these stories. And, you know, it's good if we. If we can find humor in things. Obviously, when, you know, when you were an atheist, you know, it was. You didn't think it was funny, but looking back now, I'm. I'm sure. I'm sure you see some humor in it. And what's really interesting, too, about the way you write and the way you speak about your books, it. It's kind of like you're. You're channeling it as you're speaking as well. You know, you can see it in your face and your expressions and everything that, that spirit is flowing through you when. When you're writing and when you're presenting. So I. I want to open things up now to some questions and answers, and if it's okay, I'll start. My first. My first comment on the book before I ask a question is that there's a glossary of terms in the beginning of the book. If you haven't read the book yet again, I know you're going to want to after our meeting, and I found that really helpful because even though I, you know, I've. I've. Since my journey started, I've. I've read a lot, and I've watched a lot of. Of documentaries and, and YouTube shows and listened to a lot of podcasts, I don't always remember what certain terms mean. It. It's A new language.
Yeah.
When. And every time you read a book, it's helpful when the, when the author explains what he or she means when he, when they use those terms because.
They'Re ambiguous and they are not always used the same way by every author.
Right.
Myself, when I, when I have conversations with people, they will, you know, a certain term may come up, like dimension dimensions. Okay. Everybody's got a different answer to what a dimension is, right?
Exactly.
So there's these words that you, I think that you have to understand what it means to the person writing it so that you know what that's saying. You know what I mean?
Yes, exactly. So I found that very helpful. Also. I found it helpful that you, you have some recommendations on things you can watch too, and, and websites and so forth that people can refer to, which is very helpful. And so I just wanted to. To. Because my favorite part of all of this is the science. So I'm gonna find my post it note on that and ask Ray, you, you write about your theory that dark energy is consciousness and that it's expanding in the universe and causing the. I believe you mean it's causing the expansion of the universe.
Yeah.
And that the other side is the realm of dark energy. So for, for anyone who, who's not familiar with, with terms like that, you know, in science and in spirituality. Can you, can you explain in a little more detail what that means?
Yeah, yeah, definitely. So in order for anything to come into the book, there's a three step process for me before I'm going to put any book or in a speech or anything. First is obviously I have to know about it and I have to be able to recreate it. Right. The second thing is I have to be able to look behind the curtain sign and see how does this work? Because as a former atheist, I will take. I have no blind faith in anything, so I need to know exactly what that is. What does that look like? At least plausible. At least plausible. And then I have to be able to recreate it again. So my theory on dark energy came about where I was thinking about. Well, obviously consciousness is what are, is exerted from our brain, which is an organ. Okay? And that is the mind comes from the brain, but the brain, the mind controls the brain. Okay, so look at it this way. The energy that creates the mind exists in the brain. It comes from the, from the brain, but then becomes the mind, which is your consciousness, which emits out of you. Okay? This is how things like the law of attraction works, because this vibrates on A frequency. And if somebody says you have a nice aura, it's because they feel that energy that's coming out of you. It's your consciousness. So this is an energy. So when you die, all energies transform. How do we know this? The first law of thermodynamics tells us this, that no, no energy can cease to exist. No new energy can come into the universe. It must be recycled. It must go into something else. E equals MC squared. Einstein taught us this, right? And comes matter, matter becomes energy. That's a fact. So where does your energy go when you die? It must go somewhere. Now you can accept the fact that there is an afterlife because that energy, which is you, your mind is, has to go someplace else. Now my thing, does it go. Well, we have this other energy that. No idea where it comes from. But here's what we do know about it. Einstein told us it's what's expanding the universe. It's the reason the universe doesn't contract. If you took away dark energy, the universe would come there and eventually implode. But what's pushing it out and making it larger and larger is this dark energy. More people die, more people push out, more dark energy is made. And we're pushing out the universe with our energy. So that's just a theory of mine. That's not, you know, that's not factual. I mean, if I could prove it one day, that would be great. But I'm not sitting here waiting for a Nobel anytime soon. But, but that was, you know, I just thought, I'm, I'm not the smartest person in the world. But it was like, here's an energy that we know go there and here's an energy where we have no idea where it comes from. It just seemed to fit perfectly together. That that's where it is. It has to be in the universe. It can't leave the universe. That much we know because we're, we're a contained ecosphere in this universe.
Well, that's a, that's makes a lot of sense and it's a good theory. And of course, you know, physicists continue to, to try to explain what dark energy and dark matter are and how, how the universe is affected by it. And I, you know, I tend to agree that, you know, where do things go that we can't see anymore? Well, they go to a place we can't see, right.
So, yeah, feel it, taste it, but we know that it's there. About the subatomic universe, all that we've learned, right. I'm standing on the floor that's made of atoms. We know that the atoms are 90% space for a fact. But yet I don't fall through the floor. That's perfectly comprehensible in this realm, in this, I should say, this level of reality, one level down. Okay, let's, let's say I'm going to build you a house, but I'm only going to make a 10% matter. Are you going to buy it? No, it's going to fall down because that doesn't work up here. But down there in the subatomic world where we can't see it, it's plausible. It works every day. And in the spiritual world, it's all about energy. And that energy, some would say, is the energy that is in the space of the atoms, which brings us right back around in a, in a perfect circle.
Yes. And they, they have demonstrated, you know, quantum physicists have demonstrated quantum entanglement of particles across large distances as well, which you write about in your book, which is, which is fascinating. What did Einstein call that again? The spooky action at a distance.
Action at a distance. Right. He could, he just couldn't comprehend it because he couldn't deny it, but he couldn't comprehend it at the same time. So he got frustrated.
Yeah. So he might have called it that. It might have been near Halloween too, with the spooky. Halloween's around the corner.
So in addition to studying, you know, people like Eckhart Tolle and Joe Dispenza and, and then, of course, you know, Jesus and, and everybody that you could possibly think of on the spiritual side, then on, on the other side, I also studied Tesla and I studied Einstein. Niels Bore went back to school for metaphysics, learned physics. You know, I just completely engulfed myself in these, these subject matters where I could put them together so that they could make sense to me. And if they make sense to me, I am living. I, I am the biggest skeptic in the world. There is nobody bigger than me. So for me to believe, I've put it through every test. I've got so many things that I'm not going to put in a book yet, because I can't. I got no basis to, to put it there yet. But when I figure it out, it's going to make for one hell of a buck, I think, I hope.
Well, wonderful. That's wonderful. I'm looking forward to that.
Me too.
I, I, yeah, I wondered if anyone else has a question they'd like to ask. Ray. You can, I mean, if you want you can, there's a little hand, raise your hand in the reactions or you can raise your hand physically and wave and unmute.
There we go. Sorry. Hi, Ray.
Hi, Carrie.
Hi. So I'm an astrophysicist turned metaphysicist. I say, and yeah, I'm fascinated by this conversation about energy, dark matter. I haven't got that far in the book yet. I'm about halfway through. I just was reading about the chakras today and. Yeah, so I'm going to think about that a little bit more because I think that onto something in terms of what consciousness is and, and what that energy is and you know, what it is that we're not able to measure physically with physics and, and how that all interrelates. But I guess my, my question or what I would love to like hear a little bit is. I think it's, it's Medium Bonnie. You call her.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah. So she, when she met you, she says that it's not very often she comes across someone who's a man that has these abilities. Is there, can you kind of like go in for detail? Because I've never that before.
Yeah. Medium Bonnie. So like I said, when I spoke to my, my current wife, we weren't married at the time and I, we talked about her dad to, in order to validate that what I was seeing and feeling was real, she said, why don't I take you to a meeting that you can sit with a real medium who's, you know, world renowned and discuss the things that you're seeing, feeling and how it comes. Comes to you. And I said perfect. And I didn't do any research or anything because I wanted to go in completely, you know, raw. I didn't want to know anything. I didn't want to, you know, be know what to say. Besides, I didn't know if I wanted it to be real or not real. Right. Because there, it's a double edged sword. If it's not real, I'm crazy. But if it, then what are my responsibilities to do with this? What am I supposed to do? So anyway, I go in and she's got an appointment and I have an appointment and I'm going to go first. And I said, oh, no, no, I have to go first, otherwise I'm going to run out the door because I was petrified. And I go in and I sit down and I say, hi, Bonnie, I'm Ray. And she goes, oh, you're that Ray. And I was like. She goes, have a seat, Ray. What can I do for you? I said, I'm losing my mind. She goes, yeah, I thought so too. And we start talk, and she said, tell me what's going on. And I said, okay. So, you know, spirit comes. You know, it starts with a vibration, and if it's low and it's down here, it's just going to be bad. And if it's tingly and it's up here, I know it's going to be good. And then the air changes and then the screen opens up and, you know, she's like, stop. It's exactly the way we all see it. And I was like, really? And she's like. And then I told her about another thing that comes across and she's. Those are clairvoyant premonitions. You're primarily clairvoyant, but you also have the ability to hear, smell, because I tell. I can. I can smell cigarette smoke, but there's no one smoking. And. And my wife's father was an app. Would. Was a chain smoker. So I know he comes around and we can talk about that later. Anyway, after we went through all three different of events that I had three different types of transmissions, my wife goes in, I come out, and I kind of got. She never wanted to see me again. It was. It was a weird ending to where we had such a great conversation and we were laughing. And I remember one of the jokes was, I was like, so what's the question that you hate the most? And she goes, oh, I know this one. And we both said it time. How do you know that? And I was like, I don't know how I know anything. And she's like, me either. So, you know, because that would be a question I would get my whole life because things would just come out that I should not know, right? And. And it could be giving. And. And I remember my aunt always saying, how do you know that? And I was like, oh, people just thought I had this wild imagination, but it always turned out to be. So anyway, after I left, I was sitting in the waiting room. She went in, she comes out and so excited for you. And I said, why? Why? Why? What happened? She goes, you're going to be Bonnie's student. And I said, student? She didn't even want to take my phone number. She goes, she doesn't take students anymore, but she's taking you because you. You are. She goes, first of all, men can't do this stuff. Second of all, you. All of them. And I was like, okay. And you know what? You know, I've always been of the Belief. I know women are smarter than men. You can do 46 things at a time. I can do one. I absolutely get it. I understand it. So I can see why that would be. You know, you can multitask. Men cannot multitask. So there is an ability that women have that men do not have inherently, but for some reason, this creative ability is there. This. My creative side dominates the other side. And I can still be very analytical at the same time.
Well, thank you for answering Carrie's question. That was a great question, Carrie. Adri typed her question into the chat, and she has a great question. Have you had the experience of seeing blue lights? And what would be their significance?
Can you elaborate on the blue light? Like orbs?
Adri, can you unmute and elaborate a little bit on blue lights? What your question is? I'm assuming also like Ray, that you're. You're talking about orbs. She said she's seen blue lights after pass. After a.
Passing your own. Was it an NDE experience analysis?
She said it's kind of like a sheen.
Okay.
After the passing of a family member.
Okay, so. So what you are seeing is the. Now, I'm not. I'm not going to say I know for certain, but what you are for months after. Wow. Okay. So what you are seeing, quite possibly not just the energy of the family member, but others who are escorting her so to. Across the veil. Because we have had many, many tell us, and this did not happen to me because I didn't go far enough into the light. But others that I've spoken with have said that there's. Remember I said there was a being at the end that's into the light. Well, those energies are coming towards her or whoever the deceased was and helping them come over. Blue. Yeah, it could. Blue. The color is almost not really as prevalent as the fact that you're seeing a color in an orb. So I don't know that the color makes such a difference, but the fact that you're seeing it as an orb, did anyone else see it or was it just you? Yeah, exactly. So that was. That was something for you, maybe you see blue. You like the color blue. Blue means something. You. That's why it was blue. If it. If red was. Meant something to you, but it was the orbs that were saying, we've got her from here. We'll take. It's a good thing.
She's. She's saying the only connection she found to it was Archangel Michael. Thank you. Yeah. And Adri brings up a good point about color and Connection. And what I've learned about that too, is what Ray is saying is that the connection, you're part of it. So in order for you to understand a sign that occurs, you. You have to be part of that connection. So certainly getting your attention with a color or, or something that is meaningful to you would draw you into it as well. Am I right, Ray?
Absolutely. We get things in the forms of pictures, and then it's up to us to decipher what the picture means. So in other words, if somebody just gave me the color red, what that might mean to me and what that might mean to you are two completely different things. So if we're both mediums and we're receiving red, it's what that means to you that you have to transmit to the sitter, the person who you're. You're explaining this. So we get what we know. In other words. So I'll tell you a story is, I was, I was in the middle of a meeting. We used to own a yoga studio, and we were having a meeting, and I kept seeing. In a red dress with the red rose. And she was very interruptive in this meeting. And I, I stopped and I said, and I, I asked her, I said, you know, you're here for somebody. She said, the Russian girl. The Russian girl said, okay. So I said, there's a, There's a woman here, she's elderly, she's wearing a red dress. She has a red rose. She's here for the Russian girl. I had two Russian girls in, in the class or in the meeting. And I said, can you, can you tell me, tell me a little bit more. And she's, she's just insisting on handing the rose. She says she's, she's giving me the. To you, she's giving me the rose. And they're both trying to figure out what it is. So red means absolutely nothing to the one girl. But, but the, the. The red dress meant something to the other girl because it was a, it was the same color of a dress that she had mother had given her, was her. That girl's birthday. And she was giving her the rose to say happy birthday. But that we had to figure that out is what I'm saying. So we had to get that between me, the, the. The grandmother, me and the person I was explaining it to. So those symbols, you have to kind of work them out to figure out what they are.
Thank you. Does anyone else have a question for Ray? You can unmute yourself, raise your hand, type in the chat, whatever you're Comfortable with. Okay, well, I'm gonna write a paper on that.
Sorry, what was that?
Are you gonna write a paper? Am I on your. Yeah, on your findings.
I would love to.
Yeah.
I've written. I've written two books so far, but I'm still trying to figure out. Figure out what's going to happen with them. One is called celebrate your grief, and the other one is the soul self. So it's all about my framework around consciousness.
I have to read that?
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I would love for you to read it.
Yes, I will, definitely.
I. I do have a question, though. Like, my whole journey, I guess, is. Is, like, sort of sparked by my grief and, like, my loss, obviously. And I feel like I have a really good connection to that person telepathically and that, like, we can communicate really strongly. And I often wonder if that's something like that there, if there's like a calling to expand that into more. More spirits and having that connection open to others. And I wonder, like, is that something that I need to invite in or am I just sort of like. Just, you know, like, I. I feel like I've kind of made it clear to the spirit world that I only want that one connection. But then I wonder, yeah. Yeah. How, if I was to expand on that, what would I do?
So if you're. Well, if you're asking me my. Like, I have. I have. My. My opinion would be stick with the one because they can drive you nuts. But I don't practice mediumship. I won't do it because it's just too taxing on my soul. And I just. I can't. You know, the things that I see are not always good. And there's more. You know, it's. And I just found happiness in a spiritual awakening, realized how to get there. And. And I put all. All the steps in the second book of exactly how to get there. And I don't want to go back and see suicides and things that are just terrible in nature. And I. I can't handle it. But I respect any medium that does that work. There were 11 people in our class chosen out of. Out of hundreds. And even out of the 11, we would have people drop out. Then they would and drop out and come back because they just couldn't handle the psychological weight of it. And I eventually became one of them. It took me two and a half years, but I had to take a break because it's very taxing. It's very difficult work. But if you feel that you're getting messages from others, Then I can send you to someone so that you can talk to them and we can go through or even if you want to talk to me, we can discuss how you're getting those messages and what you're feeling. You are definitely connected to someone that's your family or someone you've been very close to. That's normal, right? Because any, anybody a family member passes, it's typical that you have that connection automatically. You don't have to be a medium for that, that's built in. But to expand that to people who you've never met, that's something that's completely different. And you may have it, you may want to explore it, but it's a box that when you open a lot of stuff comes out really fast. So think about it.
That's a very good advice for anyone looking to explore their connection with spirit and mediumship abilities. I, I feel similarly to you. I, I connect very easily with my son and like Carrie, my journey started from a, a place of grief. And I think a lot of people do. I also feel that I, that, you know, readings for people. I, I, I really commend people who, who are able to, who have the strength to do that and they're, they've been guided that way too. And I, I, I really believe that, you know, a lot of what, what we do when we're open to connection with spirit is follow their guidance. So, so that's, that's very good and, and I appreciate that answer and your question, of course, Carrie, we, we're at just after one o' clock and so if no one else has any more questions, we're going to wrap it up. My last question for Ray is just if he can mention about his book giveaway he's doing today. We have, we have exactly the right number of people today to receive a signed copy of Ray's book. And I did type in the chat at the beginning of the meeting how to reach out to Ray. If you'd like a free signed copy of his book, he's at www.relessless publications.com or@ray catania.com and just in closing, Ray, if there's any anything you'd like to leave our club with a special message, you have something important that you'd like to say?
I think that overall, you know, what I've learned through this whole experience over the past two books and six years is that one of the things that we can really do and use our consciousness for is to build ourselves any type of life that we choose. There we are limitless. We are a part of God and God is a part of us. And you can call it the universe, you can call it God, God, you can call it anything you wish. That's fine. But what. When you understand what the it is, it's an energy or a part of. We are all one in that sense. We're all to that. That makes us a creator equal to not less than things are not done unto us. We do them to and we do to others, and we can do to ourselves. Ourselves. You take control of this. A lot of things happen automatically because they're all. They're programmed like I was doing. And it took me to break that program and now be in a place where I think before I react. I don't get angry. I literally don't care about anything anymore because I know it's going to work out. No matter what the it is. I. Life will go on and I will be fine and so will everyone else. And when you. When you reach that, it's so freeing and so relaxing and it's just. It's just beautiful. And anybody can do it. Because trust me, if I can do it, anyone can do it. And that's what I will leave you with.
Well, thank you so much and that. That's a profound message. And I also want to thank you for all you're doing for the world. You're doing so much and I know that you have more that you're planning to do and all that Ray does you can also find on his website. So I highly recommend that you check out his website.
