In this video, the speaker—a first‑generation Indian‑American wellness practitioner—acknowledges the intersecting crises of the COVID‑19 pandemic, economic hardship, and racial injustice, and offers a short guided meditation to foster calm, empathy, and personal empowerment. She walks viewers through deep‑breathing techniques, encouraging them to focus inward, lower heart rate, and cultivate positive intentions despite external negativity. Interwoven with the practice is a message about community values—“Community, Compassion, and Camaraderie”—embodied by the PassionFit tank top she wears, whose proceeds fully support the Equal Justice Initiative’s work for racial equality and human rights. The speaker emphasizes that individuals can educate themselves and others, treat all people fairly, and take concrete actions to create a more peaceful, just world. She concludes by thanking viewers, promising future wellness content, and urging them to use the meditation and the charitable purchase as tools for personal and societal healing.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing as well as can be given everything that's happening in our country and in the world right now. I know it's a tough time for all. First, we were trying to fight a global pandemic and deal with the economic crisis that we're currently facing, and now we're dealing with racial injustices and violence happening in major cities across the country and the world. So what I wanted to bring to you guys today is a guided meditation that I wanted to do to really help to promote peace and empathy and kindness and just the ability to cope with the current situation that we're facing. I am first-generation born Indian American, and yoga and meditation and mindfulness practices are things that I was taught and that I have leveraged throughout my life to really deal with tough times, to be able to manage stress and fear and other negative and positive emotions, but it really is a, a healthy tool to have to deal with whatever life circumstances and situations you may be facing. So I really wanted to bring that to all of you today, and I'm going to be doing a guided meditation for a few minutes. This will be available on Instagram TV as well as my Facebook page and other social media channels so that you can do this meditation along with me at whatever time fits it fits in your schedule. In addition, I wanted to just call out the tank top that I'm wearing. It says "Community, Compassion, and Camaraderie." This is from the PassionFit activewear line, and it really symbolizes the values that PassionFit stands for and that I personally stand for. The goal is really to focus on community, focus on being compassionate of other people and different situations and difficulties they may be facing, and creating a sense of camaraderie and that community regardless of race or ethnicity or economic backgrounds or beliefs or lifestyles. We are all human and everybody should be treated fairly and with respect. And what I want to do is be able to send these messages out there. And so if you purchase this tank top at passionfit.com/shop, 100% of the proceeds are going to go to the Equal Justice Initiative, which really is, is in support of racial equality and also protecting human rights. So feel free to check that out on my website if you're interested, and again, 100% of the proceeds will go to the Equal Justice Initiative. So with that, we're going to start the meditation. So I want you to close your eyes, and I want you to focus first and foremost on your breathing. So I want you to take a deep inhale through your nose as you expand your belly and your diaphragm outward. And I want you to exhale through your mouth as you pull your belly back in. Again, deep breath in and expand your belly out, and then exhale out through your mouth and pull that belly back in. So the focus right now is simply on the breath. It'll give you the opportunity to really focus on one thing to start. And it's just to start to calm and center your mind. All you have to do is turn inward and just concentrate on that breath and the rise and the fall of your belly. And as you do that, hopefully you'll start to feel your breath slowing down and happening on a deep level. And you'll also start to feel your heart rate coming down. And as you continue to focus on your breath and hopefully feel a sense of calm in your mind and in your body, you can start to have positive intentions and a positive mindset despite all of the negativity that's happening in our world right now. You have the ability to have hope and to think about how you can do your part to help those in need right now, to help make a difference. Each of us has that ability and has that power, and all we have to do is tap into our hearts and tap into our souls to figure out what we can do to help right the wrongs and make a positive difference in our world. We have the ability to get educated ourselves and the ability to educate others, including our family and our friends and our colleagues and those in our communities, to understand the history in this country of those who have been oppressed, including African Americans and other people of color, and people of different lifestyles and different beliefs. And we have the ability to treat people fairly and with respect and to lead by example so that we can create a brighter future for our children and the next generation. So I hope that you all can continue to breathe. To turn inward, to feel a sense of calm, but also feel a sense of empowerment in terms of what you can do. We are not powerless. We are all powerful. But it takes each of us really digging deep and doing what we need to do one person at a time in order to make this world a much better and more peaceful place. For all. Continue to take some deep breaths. And whenever you're ready, feel free to open up your eyes. And I just want to thank you all for this quick guided meditation with me, and I hope that you will do whatever you can to make a difference and feel a sense of calm and peace. I'll be back with another meditation video again soon and another wellness video soon, but I just want to leave you with this, and I hope that it's helpful to you. Thanks for tuning in.
