Good morning, guys, and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend, and I wanted to hop on here today to talk a little bit about mindful eating versus mindless eating during the holiday season. As a certified health coach and behavior change and nutrition specialist, I often work with clients on their eating behaviors and habits, and I think this time of year we are all indulging a little bit more than we normally would, which I think is expected and it's important to be able to do. So enjoy those rich foods, those sweet treats, treats and celebratory drinks when you're at parties and gatherings with family and friends, but at the same time, be conscious of what you are putting into your body and maybe practice balance and moderation as much as you can. So for example, if you are indulging at a holiday party the night before, maybe the next day you focus on eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking more water to kind of release toxins from your body and kind of clear your system a little bit. It's also important to focus on the textures of the tastes of the foods that eating and chew slowly and be mindful of the portion sizes that you are consuming so that you are able to create that level of balance. These are just a couple of reminders for you guys. Again, enjoy, indulge, but practice that balance and moderation and have a wonderful and healthy and happy holiday season. Thanks guys, and I'll be back with more videos soon. Take care.
