Short FAQ-style YouTube video by Richard Schreiber (the "Software Whisperer") answering: how long will it take to develop my software? Schreiber explains that Agile project management, using repeated two-week increments called sprints, lets teams estimate how much work they can complete per sprint via sprint planning. By counting required sprints, clients can fairly reliably anticipate total development time.

Richard Shriver, here again, the Software Whisperer. And we're just going to finish up on a final session on our frequently asked question, how long will it take to develop my software? And we've been talking about the Agile project management as really being the best suited project management methodology for developing software. And we talked a little bit about it being built in increments of, say, two weeks. And those are called sprints in agile terms. And essentially agile software developers can estimate how much work they can get done during those two week sprints and then they plan that and they put that into a sprint planning session and that's how they're able to determine how much coding and development work they can do in that two week period. And that makes it easier for you, the client, to kind of anticipate what can get done, when it can get done. And then depending on how many sprints are in a project, you can actually see pretty much and pretty reliably how long it's going to take to develop your software. This is Richard Schreiber, the Software Whisperer. Keep asking those questions.
