Richard Schreiber (RAS Consulting) introduces himself as the "Software Whisperer" and briefly outlines common pitfalls in software implementation projects. He advises organizations to first clarify their "why," review and improve business processes before automating them, and weigh buy-vs-build choices (use a product that covers ~80% vs. build custom). He closes by offering a free discovery consultation and contact options.

Hi, I'm Richard Schreiber from RAS Consulting, the Software Whisperer. And even if you're like me, a software expert, you realize that sometimes a software implementation project can really go sideways in a hurry. We help clients and organizations of all sizes and all industries to better their businesses through the deployment of the right software. And the decision on what is the right software can sometimes be a complicated, nuanced process. The first step though, is to understand what made you come to that point where you're looking at a software solution. What is your why behind that? Now, of course, you want to review your current business processes, if you haven't already, to identify what's working and what's not working. Because the last thing you want to do is source a software solution or build one that simply automates a bad business process. No, you need to go, you want to be better than that. And then the next decision is buy versus build. Is there something, is there a product or a software solution out there that can handle about 80% of what you need and then maybe with a little customization configuration, do much of the rest? Or are your needs so unique that you got to build a new software application from the ground up? So I call myself the Software Whisperer because for over 25 years I've been helping large organizations, startups, entrepreneurs, middle sized companies to navigate the challenges of software build and delivery.
How? Because I speak the language of both the creative, the client, and understanding their vision for the software, and then working with development teams and understanding the technical jargon and their needs on their side. And being that conduit, that intermediary, I dissolve issues around communication design and, and help keep the projects on time and on budget. So if you have an upcoming software project and you would like to have a free consultation with us, we'll have a discovery call together, find out what you're trying to accomplish and then perhaps there are ways we can help you. And if you're interested, please fill out the contact form below, give us a call, send us an email, and we would love to help you. And thanks for listening.
