Four U.S. states—Wyoming, Delaware, Nevada, and New Mexico—let you form an LLC without publicly naming the owner. If you live elsewhere, register a holding company in one of those states first, then create a second LLC in your home state listing the holding company as owner. Both need third-party agents to keep your name off records.

Many business owners want to have anonymous LLCs for valid reasons that are not sketchy. Obviously, I do not condone anonymous LLCs for individuals that are crooks or trying to scam others. Anonymous LLCs are very popular with public figures and celebrities so that they don't have stalkers or criminals harassing them. Real estate investors also like to have anonymous LLCs so that their tenants don't come up to their doorstep and harass them or cause any problems. So if you have a valid reason for wanting an anonymous LLC, then here are the steps that you must take in order to get one. So there are 4 states that allow anonymous LLCs. Those states are Wyoming, Delaware, Nevada, and New Mexico. If you don't live in one of those states, then the process is a little bit more difficult because you'll have to register that foreign LLC in your home state as a foreign entity. And doing that would remove the anonymity that the other LLC state provides you with. One way to get around this that is common is to register a holding company in, let's say, New Mexico, which does allow anonymous LLCs. An LLCs and then register another LLC in your home state. When registering that LLC in your home state, you will list the owner of that LLC as the holding company, which is the New Mexico LLC, which does not require you to list your name. So basically you'll have the holding company in the state that does allow anonymous LLCs, and then the owner of the LLC in your home state would be the LLC in the anonymous state. In order to do this, you'll have to hire a third-party registered agent to be listed on both of the LLC's articles of organization. And you'll have to hire a third party to act as the organizers of the LLC. So yeah, follow me for more business-related tips.
