Considering having a separate LLC for each business to diversify your risk

Can you have multiple businesses under one LLC? The answer is yes, but there are definitely some pros and cons. One of the major downsides though is that if one of the businesses gets into legal or financial trouble, then all of the other businesses are at risk of satisfying that judgment or debt. So basically, it depends on how much risk you want to take, but if the businesses are not related at all, then you might want to consider separating them. Now, if you do decide that you want to have multiple businesses under one LLC and you're not worried about the risk, then you'll probably want to get a DBA for each business. A DBA is basically a way of giving each of the businesses under the LLC a different name. If you don't get a DBA for each of the businesses, then both of them or all of them are going to have to go by the name of the LLC. For example, let's say you have an LLC named XYZ LLC, and then underneath it there is an Airbnb business and then a fitness fitness training business. You probably don't want to have those two businesses be called XYZ LLC, so you'll want to get a DBA for each one of them.
