Attenzione, non-US entrepreneurs that want to register an LLC or corporation in the US. First, keep in mind that it's not required. You can still do business in the US without an LLC or corporation, but a lot of my clients choose to register one so that they can have the credibility and work with various companies in the US. Sometimes Amazon will eventually require it, and Shopify will as well. If this is something you're interested in doing, then the first step is to file the articles of organization or incorporation in one of the 50 US states. Then you have to get the EIN number, which you can get through the IRS's website. However, this process takes much longer for those of you that don't have US Social Security numbers. Next, you'll want to get a registered agent for the LLC or corporation and an operating agreement or bylaws. And the last step is to open up that US business bank account. It's important to keep your personal assets separate from the business assets.
