In this instructional video, the speaker addresses non‑US residents who want to register or run a business in the United States remotely. He outlines three mandatory steps: (1) forming a Limited Liability Company (LLC) to gain credibility with U.S. suppliers and facilitate market entry; (2) obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN) by completing IRS Form SS‑4, noting that foreign applicants must fax the form and may experience longer processing times, and that the EIN is required to open a U.S. bank account; (3) drafting an operating agreement for the LLC to define ownership, governance, and rules for future investors or partners. He also mentions Mercury Bank as an online banking option that only requires the LLC’s articles of organization and an EIN. The speaker concludes by encouraging viewers to follow for more tips.

Atención, non-US residents or international entrepreneurs. Here are the 4 steps that you must take if you don't live in the United States but you want to register or have a business in the United States that you run remotely. The first step would be to register an LLC. While it's not necessarily required, I do recommend it. Some suppliers will require it, especially if you're in the e-commerce space, and it provides you with some more credibility. So if you want to tap into the US market Uh, it'll be easier for you to build connections if you have an LLC because it provides you with the credibility. The second step that you must take is obtaining the EIN number. This is a tax number for your business. All businesses must have it regardless of whether you have an LLC or not. It's what you need to open up a bank account in the United States. Um, right now banks are requiring that you come in person However, there are online banks. One of the popular ones that my clients use is Mercury Bank, and they only require that you provide them with the proof of an LLC, which would be the articles of organization, and they require that you have an EIN number. To get the EIN number, you simply go to the IRS website, uh, and submit the SS-4 form to the IRS. Because you don't live in the United States, you're gonna have to fax it to the IRS, and this unfortunately does take much longer for non-US citizens and residents without Social Security numbers. The third step that you must take is to have an operating agreement if you do register the LLC. This is basically a document that sets forth the rules of the business, says that you're the owner of it, and it sets forth the rules if you want to take on investors or other partners. So those are the three things that you must do if you are a non-US resident or citizen and you want to start or expand your business to the United States, follow me for more tips.
