There's this three legged stool that's required for the development of autoimmune disease and that's genetic predisposition and maybe we can riff on some of those, plenty of those predispositions that we're familiar with. And then there's increased intestinal permeability, so called leaky gut. And 70% of your immune system is in your gut. So yes, the gut is foundational to this entire process. And then there's a trigger. And the trigger is where things get interesting because for some people that could be trauma, it could be adverse childhood experiences. Having a score of 1 or higher on the adverse childhood experiences test is associated with a greater risk of autoimmune disease or it could be an infection. You know, similar to there's classical autoimmune disease and then there's non classical things like long Covid. I think a lot of folks maybe not you would put breast implant illness into a non classical category. We can debate that. So I think these triggers are where things get interesting. Is silicone a trigger? Are implants trigger? I think for a susceptible individual.
