A brief YouTube #shorts conversation where Robert Whitfield MD warns that phthalates in plastics are strong hormone disruptors that can leach into food and drink (especially when reheated) and advises avoiding drinking from or reheating plastics; he recommends safer alternatives such as stainless steel or glass, and highlights increased risk concerns for pregnancy preparation and pre-surgical balance.
Two, please don't drink out of plastic.
Oh my goodness.
So don't reheat in plastic and don't drink out of plastic and I'll just.
Don'T have plastic, period. Whatever extent.
You can is phthalates are extreme hormone disruptors. So if you're trying to get pregnant or if you're trying to get prepared for surgery, you need more balance, less disruption. So phthalates, which are what are in plastics to make them firmer, those leach into the water or when you reheat something, they'll leach into the food, however you want to think about it. Just like you said, avoid plastics and don't drink out of plastic. So, you know, get stainless glass, something like that.
And to your point, I think we just have to relearn how we go about our activities of daily living because it's just habit that has us think that we need to swing by the newspaper shop or the coffee shop at the airport and grab that plastic water bottle because we think we need to rehydrate. And you're not rehydrating, you're just filling yourself with plastics with.
