A first-person testimonial describing recognition of breast implant illness after about 13 years with implants, initial denial and self-treatment attempts, referral to Dr. Whitfield and decision to undergo surgery (explant). The speaker reports significant improvement after surgery—including reduced soreness and restored intimacy—and frames the outcome as ‘getting my life back’ and wanting to help others.

It's real. Breast implant illness is a thing, and I'm going to have to have surgery. So very similar story to Chelsea's. I got my implants later in life. I had them for just days away from 13 years. I learned about breast implant illness at a health conference. And I'll say one thing is I believe that there is a period of denial after you learn about breast implant illness. Um, I certainly had that. I had that period of denial, tried to do lots of things to, oh, I can balance my body, you know, I. I'm a practitioner, I can fix these things, I can detox these things. And then later realized, okay, I think there's something to this breast implant illness. And was later in a webinar introduced to Dr. Whitfield. And it was about weeks later, after learning about his practice and the holistic protocol, his approaches to thing. And I said, I told my husband, I said, okay, it's real. Breast implant illness is a thing, and I'm going to have to have surgery. This is going to happen. But after 13 years with implants, when I was healed enough that I could handle a hug because there's a level of soreness for a while, when I was healed enough and I could have that first heart to heart hug with my husband, that was incredible. This journey afterwards is so, so worth it because it will literally give you your life back, have my life back. And now I want to be able to give that to others.
