The speakers emphasize patient experiences of long-term, unexplained symptoms that were later linked to breast implants and introduce a prompt about early warning signs to look for.

Yes, and I think that's the problem, because from what I've noticed is although an infection can be recognised, it doesn't appear that breast implant illness has been a long recognized problem that can cause a host of issues. I think it's maybe been a bit more isolated, potentially, to, like, smaller problems or a smaller infection that someone might feel by having an overall symptomatic reaction. I've found a lot of women that I've spoken to have been living in the unknown for a long time about that correlation from their implant. I was actually talking to a friend recently who's had chronic health issues for probably almost 10 years now. The last five years she's been working with a lot of different practitioners to try and get to the bottom of why she feels like absolute crap, why she has no energy, why she's reacting to every food that she's eating. And only as of recently, she thought, maybe it's my breast implants. And that's why I think it's so important to have these conversations. So what would you see as some of the first signs that someone might be noticing?
