Robert Whitfield MD discusses breast implant illness, describing symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, joint pain, and GI problems linked to capsular contracture and biofilms on implants. He references his 2019 FDA testimony, noting the controversy around these claims.
Breast implant illness is now becoming a thing.
That is a little comical because I testified at the FDA hearings in 2019 specifically about capsules and capsular contracture. Because contracture, the hardening, the firmness, the distortion, the pain caused by that, is one of the most devastating complications you can have, whether you're a cancer patient or a cosmetic patient. And there's never been an answer as to why is this happening. So if someone complains of brain fog and fatigue and joint pain and muscle pain, and they have gut problem problems and UTIs and bacterial vaginosis and shortness of breath and palpitations, like, how are you supposed to understand all those things really lead back to immune dysregulation. What happens is you get a cut, you get a cold, you get a GI infection, you get a uti, that bacteria gets in your bloodstream.
Trying to survive, hide from immunity. And they're going, oh, wow, we didn't realize that. Hernia meshes will form biofilms, and all of a sudden, pathogens are there, building up over years, driving low grade systemic inflammation, causing brain fog, anxiety, fatigue, et cetera, et cetera. No different with breasts. Ignoring it, it's not.
A thing. There's people, they're making little videos about me. Why is he saying this?
