Short YouTube clip (Robert Whitfield MD) discussing potential harms from foreign implants. Speakers assert that implants form biofilms which attract pathogens and can be immunosuppressive, enabling infections seen with various implants (orthopedic, dental) and potentially breast implants; they cite observed patient recoveries after explantation and reference personal medical history and a podcast appearance.

Look, I come from a premise that anything foreign in the human body can potentially and typically cause us a problem eventually, because the body knows it's there, right? I mean, for years they said, well, these, you know, implants, whether it be in a hip, shoulder, knee, whatever, they don't cause problems. Well, they realize that they're forming biofilms, right? And the biofilms attract a lot of different pathogens, et cetera. So, of course, now the push is making them more ceramic, less biofilms, but yet we were told there wasn't a problem with these foreign things in the body, and now we're learning there is a problem. We deal with that with titanium implants in the mouth, that there's major problems in biofilms, and it's immunosuppressive and allows infections that would be other places in the body not causing a problem nowadays. So it was no surprise that we were dealing with this with breast implants. But again, it's only in theory until you see enough cases of people getting sick and people getting better with removal.
And with your own history. You talked about mercury toxicity, and you were on the Skinny Confidential with Lauren, who's my patient.
