Breast Lift Surgery Secrets: Nipple Preservation & Implant Removal! #shorts

Robert Whitfield MD explains a breast lift/implant removal technique emphasizing nipple preservation: he does not remove the nipple-areolar complex but tangentially excises skin around the areola (compared to peeling an onion) to fit a smaller breast and removes tissue beneath the nipple to allow closure and lift. After a vertical excision the surgeon exposes the implant's scar capsule and removes the implant plus capsule circumferentially intact (likened to not breaking an Easter egg). He notes removal approach depends on how the implant was originally placed (periareolar or through the inframammary fold) and that implants with capsule cannot be removed via the armpit.
