A short YouTube video (created/uploaded by Robert Whitfield MD) discussing the emerging trend of vacationers seeking cosmetic procedures while on cruise ships. The speakers raise questions about who delivers these treatments (doctors vs. nurses), the authenticity of products used, and advise caution—recommending against non-emergency procedures while on vacation.
It's time to sail away. Kick back for some fun aboard a big boat with relaxation by the pool and maybe an island excursion. The destination cruise is a popular getaway. It's typical to find vacationers enjoying a massage or maybe a facial. But in growing numbers, people are deciding to take the plunge and try out a cosmetic surgery procedure aboard a cruise ship.
Who is delivering these treatments? Is there a doctor available? Is this something that's just delivered by an experienced nurse? What are the products that are being delivered? Are they actually what they are?
I would think really hard before having any kind of procedure done that is not an emergency on a cruise ship or on vacation.
