This YouTube transcript excerpt (hosted by John Hammerly for the Plastic Surgery Channel) discusses dimpleplasty — cosmetic creation or removal of dimples. Speakers note patients now request dimpleplasty; removal may involve releasing tendinous attachments or adding filler, while creating a permanent dimple is more challenging (suturing techniques mentioned) and some speakers doubt long-term success.

I used to hate when my grandmother or an old family friend would come over to the house and oh, I just love those dimples. Oh, I can still feel it from all those years ago. Dimples. Everybody loves them. We used to think that it was just a factor of nature. You were either born with them or you weren't. But thanks to modern medicine, that's not the case anymore. People are coming in for dimple plasties.
Dimple plasty is where we're trying to artificially take out fat or we're trying to suck in the cheeks.
I think it makes you look happy and different. Could remove dimples, which I don't think. I think it removes the character of someone to have it. But you could possibly just release a little bit those tendrils and place a little filler underneath there. Creating a dimple is a little more difficult. So trying to create a permanent kind of indentation in the skin, and I know some men like a dimpled chin and you could try to do it with some suturing techniques, but it's a little more tough.
Trying to create an indentation. I don't think long term success is really involved in that equation. So I wouldn't do it. Trying to create natural structures, Normal grooves don't really have that in place.
