Speaker (Robert Whitfield MD) argues for simplifying biological interventions by removing interferences (chemical exposures, infections) and addressing deficiencies, with a focus on protein intake—especially for people with hypothyroidism and those on vegan diets—and describes discovering peptides as a new therapeutic area he began using and exploring.

I just grew a love for finding solutions that work really easy for the body. Because biology, I think we try to overcomplicate it with medicine. We try to intervene when maybe intervention is not necessary. We try to put too many inputs in when really what we need to do is remove interferences, just like you and I are talking about, and then build up deficiencies. So if an interference is chemical exposure, get rid of the chemicals. If there's an infection present, get rid of the infection. If you've got a protein deficiency, and especially those of you with hypothyroidism, you need your protein more than you could ever imagine. And when you're on a vegan diet, you pro the. It's really hard to get good levels of protein in. And so it was a perfect storm. And when I look at peptides, once I discovered those, it was like, what are these things? And then I started realizing, like, oh, I've been using some of these. Like, then I realized there's this whole world of peptides that he opened up to me.
