Short YouTube interview (shorts) featuring Brooke and Robert Whitfield MD. Brooke is eight months post-explant surgery and shares her personal journey, reasons for choosing explant and interactions with Dr. Whitfield; includes travel anecdote and conversational Q&A about the decision process. The piece is framed as a patient testimonial and clinician-led conversation.
Thank you for having me. I'm truly honored to be here.
Brooke was kind enough to travel from Idaho and spend time with us in Austin. And I thought the traffic was. I'm a little, you know, traffic spoiled, but Austin's traffic has gotten bad. And then I went to visit Brooke, and they had had an accident near her office, and I got stuck in traffic when I was supposed to be at her place to speak. So this is a great opportunity for us to catch up. She's eight months after explant surgery, and she's going to share with us, like, her journey on how she ended, maybe, you know, choosing us and the path that. That she went down. So awesome.
I'm excited to share.
Well, how did you. You know, I tell everybody. Brooke, you know, I don't tell anybody to get an explant because I know that's. That's. It's a very personal decision, and by the time somebody's gotten to me, they've already decided. And so maybe kind of share how you got to that point.
