A woman describes how prayer led her to recognize breast implant illness after years of accumulating symptoms she initially dismissed. She emphasizes that many women miss the diagnosis because they're not completely debilitated, and urges women to research their own health rather than waiting for doctors or government to act.

As I'm going through all these different trials in my life, and then also the health symptoms that I had, on top of that, I really was praying and asking God to show me, you know, what. What is this? Some. Some things I'd heard about breast implant illness along the way. But because. And I've shared this at the beginning, I'm one of those who, after talking to a lot of people who've experienced this, my symptoms were not debilitating, right? Like, I was able to go on with life. I was able to do these things. So. And obviously, that's a blessing. But then also, I feel that a lot of women can be deterred because we feel like, oh, well, I'm still living my life. I'm able to, you know, move around and do the things that I want to do. I really was under the radar. So when I first would look at the symptoms of breast implant illness, at first I thought, well, maybe that's not me. But then as all these little things started adding up, and I began praying and asking the Lord for guidance, and he just started connecting the right people and in places. And then that's where I saw Crystal's post. So I just, you know, like I said, it truly is a blessing that I found you. But what I do in my advocacy work is I'm here to inform because at the end of the day, we can't abdicate our health to the government or, you know, professionals, you know, in the healthcare industry, because we're the ones left with the consequences. And so, yes, I arrived at this on my own accord.
