If you've heard me on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, if you heard my podcast on Apple or Spotify or however you listen, if you've listened to the books I've written about breast implants, explant surgery, breast implant illness or the sharp method, I talk a lot about fat grafting. So fat grafting, fat transfers, lipo filling, whatever term you use for that. In Europe it's referred to as lipo filling. In the United States it's fat grafting. And recently it's been more widely, I guess termed or used fat transfer. So fat transfer is one of the most, I think, underutilized but powerful tools in plastic surgery. It relies on your own fat, not a device. It's not synthetic. It is not foreign. It's your own genetic material. So that being said, it's your own tissue. And anybody who's ever had trouble losing an area with stubborn fat, ideally we would use those instead of using devices for contouring or reconstruction purposes.
