Two surgeons discuss breast explant procedures, timing for lifts and fat grafting, and how different approaches affect patient outcomes. They cover when to combine procedures and what patients should expect during recovery.
So I do hear about explant surgeons that will not offer breast lifts and or fat grafting at the time of explant.
It's very strange.
I really don't understand that concept. The patients are uniformly told, wait a year, there's inflammation, the blood supply is going to improve, you know, come back. And when I ask those surgeons, how often do those patients come back?
They don't.
They like, yeah, five or 10%.
Yeah.
I'm doing breast lips or fat grafting on maybe 75% of my explanted or 80% of my explanted patients. And some of them say, if I knew the breast would be this good with this approach, I never would have put the implant in.
