Robert Whitfield MD explains how to speed recovery through hydration. Filtered or hydrogen water is best, then add electrolytes, amino acids, and protein to reduce tissue swelling. Hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy also help.

I actually have them use filtered water or hydrogen water when everybody's access is going to be different, to be honest. So at home we'll just say I asked them to not just drink water, that is water alone. I have them add, you know, in order of importance, you know, electrolytes, aminos and protein. Because in reality, I'm trying to increase the oncotic pressure in the system so that the swelling goes down in the tissues. Work. It's a very simple but complex thing for everybody to really understand. But that's how you get fluid out of tissues fast. And then we fatic massage and we have hyperbaric oxygen or red light therapy in the office, all sorts of modalities to enhance recovery.
