A speaker (Robert Whitfield MD) introduces a talk describing anesthesia group experiences and strategies to reduce post-surgical complications. The group has shifted focus to an Early Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol, applying techniques honed in level-one trauma centers and cardiac hospitals to broader patient populations to minimize pain, nausea, and other post-op issues.

And this is a long time coming. So I'm excited to be on here and be able to share a little bit about our experiences, what we've seen in patients over the years and just how we have both fine tuned our craft with both your patients and then my collective patients, you know, across all of our coverage locations. So what does it mean to to deliver that highest level of care to to your patients and minimize, you know, any as many of the complications and issues that can arise after surgery from pain to nausea, all of those things. It really our focus has shifted to this early recovery after surgery or ERAs protocol and it's worked extremely well in your patient population. And one thing we've done as an anesthesia group is we've taken all of these providers from level one trauma centers, heart hospitals, doing big cases at the hospitals on very, very sick patients and taking these very detail oriented approaches to solving very complex issues that arise in sick patient populations.
