I had had symptoms that I didn't know were related to BII until I specifically kind of started getting started with Dr. Whitfield MD and learning more about what this was. I just kind of was sick, I thought, for a couple years, which to me, I'd gone to lots of dermatologists and doctors and they eventually just told me it was genetic and that I was eventually kind of predispositioned to that. So once I got to Dr. Whitfield MD's office, I started learning and decided I wanted to have the surgery and was there probably about a year, I think, before I had it myself. So I got to see the before and after of a lot of the patients and kind of learn a lot more emotionally about what was going on. I, which, you know, kind of goes into how I take care of patients. I always say there was a before I had the surgery and after I had the surgery of how I treated patients. It was very by the book. You know, once I had the surgery myself and went through the full year post-op, it comes from more of a personal and emotional experience. So that's kind of where I'm at today, and I'm about to be 2 years post-op in June. That's hard to believe it's been that long.
