Dr. Robert Whitfield compares two patients who had identical plastic surgery. Patient A prepared with nutrient optimization, inflammation control, and gut health work. Patient A's graft took excellently; Patient B's, who skipped prep, fell below 50% success.
Chapters
We have two patients, same surgeon, same technique, completely different results. Patient A came into surgery with optimized nutrient levels, controlled inflammation, supported detox pathways, and a recovery plan that we engineered, or they engineered, to help their specific biology. And post-op, we monitored everything and adjusted as needed in real time. Patient B had the standard experience, no prep, no testing, compression garment, antibiotics in the old days, and Because of that, we'll say the graft take was less than 50%. So that's a failure I consider, you know, of prep, right? So everything I do is to prepare and not respond to a problem. So the— this is the information to me that changes outcomes. And, you know, we've bootstrapped everything at our place and run all these. So we have a great deal of clinical evidence from doing this in our experience. And it makes sense, right? So we have your genetics, we understand your tox burden, your gut health, food sensitivities, hormonal balance, all those things round out what you want to know to really set everybody up for success.
