You'll be breathing on your own throughout the case, but you will be completely asleep and completely unconscious. The nice thing about both of those is, you know, we're able to control your ventilation, control your airway, and know that it is patent or completely open throughout the procedure. That allows us kind of the highest level of control and over your physiology so that Dr. Whitfield can do what he needs to do and we can make sure that you are safe and comfortable the entire time.
