Short transcript excerpt from a YouTube conversation where Robert Whitfield MD and another speaker discuss the role of saunas in detox programs; the speakers note industry incentives and the need to re-integrate sauna use into detox protocols. This clip centers on practical/operational considerations rather than detailed clinical guidance.
Okay.
Yeah.
The sauna companies can't be super mad at you because you then you need to implement them back into the program of detox. Right.
I mean, I like using the sauna, but I. You know, I think superheating something that's a medical device that's not metal is probably not a great plan. Especially like you describe a rupture. I have patients all the time. They're like, oh, I heard your episode with Lauren, so I stopped, and I was just doing it all the time and feeling bad. Or we had a very young person just the other day tell us they feel great after sauna. It's a very young person who's had implants a very short period of time. So they're not lifetime devices. So you're listening. And when I explant them, I don't expect anybody to have an epiphany when they wake up in the recovery room and it. Everything's rainbows and unicorns. So there's a lot of work to be done, both through the testing we do and the detox process afterwards.
