I hear patients all the time tell me like, Yeah, I asked Dr. Smith about doing this surgery and he said, doesn't work, it's dangerous. I'm like, oh, okay, first of all, you just need to get out of Dr. Smith's office. You just don't want to do the case. Doing a capsulectomy is not dangerous. And an implant removal, whether it's for cancer cosmetics, is not dangerous. To say that to a patient is very telling about the person who's saying that. They're either not well trained, not well read, not comfortable from a skill set standpoint, or all the above. Definitely not who you want doing a case.
