People always ask me this question when I'm interviewed. What is the number one thing that people should stop, you know, that they can look for in their home? Fragrance. But fragrance is more about what's in your shampoo, what are you washing your dishes with, what are you washing your clothes with? God forbid you use fabric softener. Because I can walk down any street at any given day and go, this house, this family has hormone challenges. Well, how do you know? I smell the fabric softener pouring out of their dryer vents, and it reeks. I can smell these people. And so I say that to say that fragrances are one of the most toxic things that are in everything that we are utilizing. Why is fragrance so bad? Because they're protected by IP laws to they don't have to expose their ingredients. And IP laws, intellectual property laws, give them the ability to not expose their formulas. And therefore they're using in most of these formulas banned chemicals that are known cancer causers, hormone disruptors. They've been banned for many years, and yet they're still allowed to use them. That's the problem with fragrances. They're not just toxins, they're super toxins, and it's easy to avoid them. Start washing your clothes and dishes in non fragrance, everything non fragrance unless it's an essential oil. Right? So if it says 100% essential oil, okay, fine, that gives a natural fragrance, but anything else, no go. So I'm just saying, though, that you can immediately make these changes on what you're bringing into your home, what you're putting on your body, what you're putting on your food, and that's your responsibility, and that can start today.
