A short YouTube interview by Robert Whitfield MD featuring patient Taylor Dukes discussing her medical history, notably her breast explant surgery and related health journey. The clip introduces Taylor as an Instagram/blogging figure and signals a deeper personal story beyond the explant itself.
All right, everybody, welcome back to the show. Today I have our patient, Taylor Dukes. Everybody who follows her on Instagram, reads her blogs, knows her history, but it's one of the most interesting ones I've ever come across in my practice. So, Taylor, welcome to my show, and thanks for taking part.
Thanks for having me.
So for everybody, Taylor is a patient of ours who's had an explant, but that is basically the tip of the iceberg story for Taylor. Her pick it up with that little tease.
Yeah. So he's not lying. I have kind of an interesting story. I wish I could be a little bit more of a boring patient, but I'll kind of, like, back it up because I think that's what resonates with a lot of people and kind of why I chose to get an explant and kind of where I was at with my history and symptoms. And so I went to tcu. Nursing school, was just a typical nursing major. I had the opportunity to do some medical missions in Africa and Ecuador abroad. Ended up getting really sick over there. You know, I got all the shots. I was taking all the malaria medication. I got parasites. I didn't know that at the time. So I ended up getting flown back to the States and just had all sorts of weird health issues.
